Didnt hit nothing it failed in the driveway. Show is deep enough that you dont need brakes. Just push in the clutch.

Gonna do it yourself? That's ballsy. I tried tinting the back window of my cap and it was a catastrophe. It was so hard.

I think it depends on how close you want to get it. I tinted my first gen and 95 runner...it was amazingly a pleasing experience, but that said my cuts at the top of the window were closer to an inch in the gap since I went with the roll instead of precut. Either way Im sure it wont be bad, just embrace the squeegee and heatgun afterwards.

Yes, I ordered a precut kit and install kit. Hoping the instructions are helpful. I think the rear windows would be the hardest, but just because of accessibility.

And @Coot83 the rear door windows don't actually do anything haha. I wish someone would create a molle cover like they have for 4runners

Ah if thats the case man you should be able to knock it out pretty easily with it being precut. I would recommend a heat gun/hair dryer when doing this so that way if there are any weird angles to the windows, the heat will soften the material so you can form it with the squeegee. I remember doing my 4runners rear window and that was a pain in the ass with the subtle changes in the glass because of converging glass angles.

Ive got one of those. I think the install kit comes with a spray bottle too. Is that just for water? Or is there a special adhesive?

Solid man, yep the spray bottle has a substance similar to soapy water. I used to just use some watered down dawn dish soap in my bottle as you just want something that wont evaporate as fast. The fluid is so you can have the film stick to the window, but still be moveable until you squeegee the water out from it. From there the heat gun needs to be used as it will shrink the tint film and little bubbles will appear which you then simply squeegee/heat as needed to remove them.

When you see someone with tinted windows with the little light circular bubble spots on their tint, its cause they squeegeed the tint but never heated the film to seal itbefore completing the job. The next time its hot out the sun will do that when it bakes the film, but if you dont squeegee it right away then the bubbles stay in the tint and you get that hobo install look.

I was sporting that look on rear window of my first car :anonymous:. But to my defense, that was after a "professional install" :bananadead:
