EIBACH PRO-TRUCK LIFT KIT (STAGE 1) FOR 16+ TACOMA REVIEW

I recently installed the Eibach Pro-Truck Lift Kit on my 2018 Tacoma paired with the OME Dakar HD leafs and I am loving this setup! The ride quality is improved even with my 400 lbs static weight in the bed. Best thing is that I didn't have to use my UCA and I still got 2.75" of front lift with proper caster setting. So in summary...

• Achieve up to 3″ front lift
• 2.5″ rear lift with OME HD Dakar leaf springs (not AAL)
• No UCA required; alignment within OEM spec
• Great alternative to the popular Bilstein 5100
• Less than $600 for full kit

How is the ride? I've heard these are valved progressive vs digressive on the 5100's.

Curious to know how these rubber boots on the rears will work out. I had those and then took them off because they can cause BAD corrosion from trapping water and also trapping dust/dirt...food for thought

 

good review, however oem alignment spec is not what you want. Also UCA's are definitely recommended anything over 2". Caster target for a lift is ~4 degrees.

 

where did you get the full kit for less than 600??

You didn't answer my question about the ride quality

 

These do ride a bit soft. The handling is not as great as the Bilstein digressive, but handling is controlled by the sway bar anyways so I'd much rather have the plush feel while having better small/large bump performance.

 

Interested to see how this is after a few thousand miles

 

you want to get caster somewhere between 3-4 degrees. This will make tracking much better and give you clearance(between the rear of the wheel and the fender) that you will want. The rest will be oem spec. In order to get the 3-4 degrees caster aftermarket uca's will be needed. Also aftermarket UCA's have more articulation than stock.

 

Good deal. I was looking for a soft(er) ride anyway considering I do 80mi a day commute.

 

Yeah just over $1k. Leafs were just as expensive as the coil kit.
