Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
    You lost reserve capacity.

My original Truestart lasted 8.5 years and was not completely dead when replaced. Currently at 4.5 years on the Truestart replacement...paid $82 at the dealer. I have had a stereo with amps in the truck since year two. Absolutely nothing wrong with a Toyo battery and unless you are pulling some serious amperage or starting your truck regularly below minus 20*, the 'fancy' batteries are a waste of money unless you need to brag about what battery you have in your truck. LOL

didn't notice that- thanks for pointing that out :) I was more worried about starts in below zero weather than anything- can't tell you how many days that's been thus far, enough so that it keeps Montana's population nice and low :D

I replaced mine at seven years, it certainly had life left in it- just wasn't sure how much :)

Don't get me wrong, crank amps are important, but so is reserve capacity. My truck will crank a little slow at anything below -15, but has never failed to start.

X2Power Group 31 has been bombproof for me. Get the Slee terminal extensions too, because it is hell to get the factory leads off if you have to disconnect the battery when doing electrical work.

Dual purpose marine batteries. You can have both. My X2 Group 31 has 1150 CCA and a 220 min reserve. Runs camp lights and a fridge for several days/nights without issue.

Hello I have a Stinger battery and love it. It has been in 3 vehicles and in Tacoma for over 8 years. I haven't had any problems with is what so ever. Has 800 ccac on it so plenty powerful enough. I would highly recommend them and buy again....

Duralast at Autozone is the exact same battery as OEM. Don't waste twice the money on a AGM for 10% more life. It's more important to get a battery that hasn't been sitting on a shelf for month discharging than anything else. Take a volt meter and don't take home anything with less than 12.6 volts on the shelf.

It didn’t work for me either. I called them for a stock check and they said they’d honor the discount.

If you don’t want the extra posts though it might work (27F).

Keep in mind, an AGM battery like Odyssey (yes more expensive at $200+) are 100% sealed and never leak or corrode. Also, they can be drained down 80% (20% left) up to 400 times.

It’s not advised to even do that once with a standard lead acid battery.

I’m with you on this. A $300 battery would have to last 15-20 years for it to justify the price difference compared to Costco-Interstate unless you have a specific need.

I went with the x2 power. I couldn’t get the bracket to fit over the handle so I did this. Was anyone able to get it to fit with the handle down?

Thanks for answering so quick. I got it. Had to tighten it until the rod started to bend though.

Yeah, I think mine has a bow in it now too. Maybe slightly less than yours.
