I always wanted a streetbike until my childhood friend got killed from some lady running a red on Beach, he was making a right on a green and got nailed. Maybe you remember his name from the paper Paul? It was Ian Lopez.

Nope didn't see it but that stuff sucks - I switched to amusement parks, go carts and mountain bikes to get that same feel.

After my trip home from the hospital I came upon a clean up of 3 guys racing up beach when they tee-boned a Taurus - body bags etc. I stayed and watched the whole thing saying to myself "I have way too much that I want to do before I die."

Now I sound like my uncle that didn't want me to buy my first bike when I was 13. I sure did like the thrill for years but I am glad I quit when I did. I know I would have met my maker far earlier than I will.

I feel like putting in a full cage in my Taco! I have grown to like bars and sheet metal to surround me when I am going fast. I do make a somewhat stupid exception when I mountain bike - I know I can still get whacked doing that!

I thank you all in your supporting of my need for a regular adrenaline rush!!!

    :)

    Not enough.
My mom and dad protested me getting my bike. especially after a 70yr old ran a red and hit my dad 2 yrs ago. Left him blind in the right eye, messed up balance, and nerve damage in his right leg.

    I still got my bike.

Even if you're the most carefull rider there still are those drivers that don't pay attention.

One thing i'll remember that my dad said. "If you want to be invisible to others, ride a bike."

One of the reasons I stopped riding.

In Maryland the laws make vehicle homicide a nice weapon of choice to take someone out. 1st offense is usually $100 fine if you do not run.
