    I got you mate...



    What I learned is that it’s hanging on an alloy boom and the pilot has controls to start the petrol motor that drives the belt connected blades. The whole assembly is on a type of gimbal that allows the pilot to turn the blades the direction of their choice.

    There’s allot of change about as the south east tries to become as American as they can but for most of the rest of the country there is quite a bit of love for traditional life and even including Aboriginal politics into everyday decision making. Our families station is very close to Arnhem Land and my folks have many good friends among the Yolngu.

    Music is a huge deal in Australia and I reckon most everyone knows quite a few Slim Dusty songs.

    Transmission woes?
    Buddy works for a company that uses chevy 1500's, all about 3 years old. They have had 5 transmission failures between 98k --> 105k miles. They have about 20 of these and a 1/4 of their fleet has blown transmissions. These are the highest miles ones and now they are expecting the rest to go once they hit that mileage....

    3rd gen transmission problems???.
