So a Tacoma went up on Facebook marketplace tonight locally. 5 speed V6 4WD access cab with 147,000K for $3000. I barely have the cash with my cummins project but I can't say no to this. I used to run by this truck daily on my break this past summer and it's a clean Texas frame. I messaged the guy but the listing had been up for 5 hours already and now it's midnight.

To be fair Big Bear has gotten several feet in the past few days in top of what was already up there...that's unheard of this far south. Even our high desert areas are getting hit with several inches of snow

He’s from San Diego. His friends have a cabin up there.

They also apparently have a Jeep Cherokee.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
@m3bassman It's pissing rain hardcore in the desert right now. The roads out by my house near the mtns (hills that everyone calls mtns at least) is experiencing road flooding. So naturally I went out to check it out in the cruiser. I completely misjudged how deep one was and sent a wave over the truck at 45mph. Had to stop to see again and when I stopped I was still in water that was almost to the door. This thing is hilarious in deep water. Much different than the taco that feels like it's liable to float and skip over the water. This is more like driving a wall, I've never carried a bow wave on a paved road before haha.

I know of a few trails to get up there but even I'd be wary of taking them right now given the conditions, let alone in a Cherokee...assuming it's one of the newer soccer mom ones

It’s the 90’s Cherokees, not the XJ with the AWD transfer case.

Yeah, these Tacoma's surprise me everytime. Especially with my brother and couple of his friends. They have full size trucks and his friends give me crap for having a mini truck lol. Until I have to winch them out. I love when it shuts them up lol

My local dealer has a baby blue one that they let sit outside under the awning

If you take care of it its not so bad. I bet they use brine, its what a lot of places here started to go to.

Lol my buddies and I would off-road a Dodge Neon

My brother did dirt track racing in a neon lol. Thing was quick after we removed most of it. I helped build that thing. We cheated by putting a better cam and diff in it. But only cause there was a mustang 2 and a Porsche.

Was not a 911 but it had a air cooled motor. That neon would smoke those 2 guys easy. Until my brother got shoved into the wall hard. Me and a friend of ours was there before fire crews. After my brother was ok and safe I confronted that driver who caused it. Needless to say I was escorted back to my brother's pit. I don't mind bumping and rubbing but when you push someone into the wall like that you immediately get zero fucks from me. Safety is way more important than a win, last I heard that kid is banned from all tracks in the state from that shit.
