I'm running 285/70/17 KO2s with a 3" lift (also leveled the front out so I'm probably close to 4" up there). No rubbing issues for me off-road. Before the lift went on I couldn't even get in the driveway without it sounding like I was leaving something behind. Curious to see how the 2" does under load up front.

Well, I'll keep this thread alive. I'm about to put on a Icon Stage 4 lift with some Method 701 wheels (17x8.5, 4.75" backspace, 0 offset) with 285/70r17 BFG's with the C load range. Hoping that it won't rub, not sure if I'm going to need to do a CMC? I'll update once everything is on. Any thoughts are appreciated, and if anyone knows someone in the Va Beach area that could help with the CMC, that advice would be appreciated.

I'm just going to throw this comment in the air & see if someone can shed any knowledge. Planning to run Falken 285-70-17 on SCS F5 wheels 17 x 8.5 -10 Offset 4.30 BS.

Cab mount chop will be done along with pinch weld. Will I rub anywhere?

Would I need to trim? Or simply hammering things out of the way? I guess I'll find out lol

likely push the liner in and re-secure it plus trim the bottom of the bumper. the more you lift, the less it's an issue but once you flex you'll be right into the bumper.

Bumping this so others can read nd get an idea. I'm running 285/75/16 -10mm @ 4.0BS stock suspension they rub hard on all the plastic stuff. You will need a CMC for sure and smash your pinch weld to run this tire size of you plan to use your truck off road.
Clearance on the the stock UCA is 3 1/4"with the back spacing.

    wanna be mods
here's my 285/70 on SCS S6 17x8.5 (4.30 bs and -10mm offset) I have a few large and deep pot holes on my road, so though not anywhere near full flex, I went ahead and checked full right and left clearance for $hits and giggles...20190528_171537.jpg 20190528_171517.jpg

CMC totally due here soon, now just shooting for more flex/stuffing rub detecting, ahead CMC and pinch weld work. 20190528_165344.jpg 20190528_165408.jpg20190528_165403.jpg just clearing CM, back well liner.

rear tire clearance with 1in block on stock suspension. 20190528_171400.jpg My medium range plan (we are expecting 1st baby Dec. 2019) is to remove spacer/block for suspension lift (likely 5100s ome888 or 887, Dakar medium leaf pack [figured better option for trailering wood rounds for firewood] and LR UCAs).

How is it now with the CMC? ever rub in full lock or anything?

Did you ever get this done? Found a deal on Method Grid wheels with same specs and was wondering how much trimming you had to do with the 285/70R17's.

Howdy all, I have 2017 Tacoma TRD sport 4x4 with stock wheels and spidertrax 1.25 spacers. Bilstien 5100 at 3rd clip. Milestar Patagonia 208/70/17. Initial rub at passenger full lock on right turn. I removed the mud flaps and no more rubbing.

I also uploaded a video to my youtube channel for better viewing

    Hope this helps

Finally I found a wheel with the exact specs I have. I’m trying to see if I can fit 275/70/17 on just a 2 inch front lift and could find anything. Looking at this now I should be fine! Thanks !
