    This...

If you never do anything that will potentially harm you, then you will never do anything.

Get one! Closest thing to freedom on a wheeled vehicle. Nothing but you and the road. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 12 years old. My first motorcycle was a Kawi KX80 dirtbike, I was hell on that thing! Raced crotch rockets during my stay in the Army, and just recently sold a Honda CRF250 that II used to commute back and forth to work. I'm actually in the market for a KTM motard or super moto, probably in the 400-600cc range this time. Those bikes are fun!

You da man Chris! Is this the gentleman that was stuck last night by 281 and 431? I wish I could have gone and helped. We've all been stuck before and it sucks. As a matter of fact, I sunk my very first vehicle in the river beds behind Eura Brown Elementary school. Friends couldn't pull me out with their big trucks. I figured I'd wait til morning to call an actual wrecker. When we got there next morning, they had raised the river overnight and all I could see was 6" of hood sticking out of the water. 1988 Toyota 4x4 with 415K miles on it, totalled! My dad whooped my ass real good for that one! lol

    speaking of motorcycles...

we just had Liberty National come by and give us all some free life insurance stuff and whatnot. 3k accidental death coverage and a free discount card lol.

already have life insurance through the company so no bigger plan for me, but that stuff was free

Exactly! My wife's mom is 68 years old and has never flown in a plane before because she's afraid it's gonna fall out of the sky! I don't know if yall know where the Meighan Blvd bridge is and I-759, but my friends and I use to dive off of those bridges when we were teenagers. Cherokee Rock Village? We freeclimbed Pinnacle with no rope and no harness. It's a wonder that I'm still alive today.

Now I have a family and more to think about than just myself. I think about the consequences nowadays, unlike when I was a young buck!

It's not that at all. I've had two different Harley's on order ('02 Superglide Sport and '09 FatBob), then life happened and I canceled both of them.

I dodge accidents on the way to and from work, almost daily. It's just not worth it these days and my kids need a father, not an insurance claim.

I've upped my life insurance this year both accident and whatever regular is called. I need to make a will, because if I die someone's got it made. lol
I drive 30k a year and do a lot of stupid stuff, i figure accidental being ridiculous high is a fair bet.

We've got life insurance through work that is equal to our salary so for now I'm ok, probably change it when I get married.

you can't opt for higher through work?

mine's well above salary, i think the recommended is at least 3 years salary. Because that gives whoever needs it time to readjust to life and figure things out.

so get a non street legal bike if you want a dirt bike.
if you want a street bike you can still do track days.
