Transfer case fluid

    Ok all I have been doing a bit or reading up on what fluids to use on the diff's and transfer case on my 2016 Tacoma TRD sport.
    Front and rear Diffs call for LT 75W-85 GL-5 not a readily available fluid, so after reading up on the same questions from fellow Tacoma owners in this group have opted for the
    $30 Mobil 1 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)
    Mobil 1 75W-90 (Limited Slip Fluid) and changed it at 30K miles. So far all good as expected.
    Now comes the Transfer case it calls for SAE 75W LF, I have asked the dealer and they wont tell me what it is and also said Toyota only fluids...BS... What has everyone else used? Any issues if you use the Mobil 1 75W 90 and do you still need the Limited slip fluid? OR stick with the over priced Toyota stuff.

    2" Lift with HS coils/AAL and 5100s, TRD Exhaust, TRD Skid Plate, URD Short Shift, AT3s
    I use Redline MT90 in both my MT and transfer case; should be able to use it in a 3rd gen transfer case as well.

    You can use readily available 80W90 in the front and rear diffs. I use Valvoline synthetic 75W90 because I can get it cheap when it's on sale.

    I've had the Ravenol 75W in my t-case for about 9k miles now. No apparent difference from OEM fluid, everything shifts smooth into 4wd and back.

    I changed it at 30k miles, but was likely not needed. Fluid that came out looked practically new, I didn't have it analyzed tho.

    I was about to post something similar. This is my first time doing the diff and transfer on any of my vehicles. Looks super easy, where do you guys buy your oils for these changes from? I feel like the stealership will rip us off.

    Cheaper if you buy on Amazon or ebay then going to an auto parts store including drain plug gaskets. I did mine at 5k just for insurance and replaced with redline. My MT psychologically shifts easier :)

    Visit a few Toyota dealers and ask them what oil they use for the transfer case. The transfer case only requires about 1.2 Qt so I would just buy four QTs of Toyota SAE 75W LF then use it for 3 changes. I think most Toyota dealers use no name brand
    $30 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)
    75W-90 oil. I just don't know about using Ravenol - Read some reviews from BTOG forum.

    The Toyota 75W oil is approximately $60.00 a liter online.
    The Ravenol 75W will work fine. Ravenol oils are very good.

    I just did. Got 75W in from oempartsource yeaterday. Seems legit. $125.01 for 2 liters shipped. Sucks we need 1.1 liters.

    Now how the hell do i open this metal can to get it in the transfer case?

    Also i wasnt sure if in 2019 there exists a punch that lets you attach a pump like we use on the plastic bottles.
