I haven't used a 24-70 in for ever. For some reason I always end up with a 50 which makes for very different truck pics.

This is the winter end of maintenance on the Stampede Road just outside of the Denali national park. Pentax KP, HD DA 20-40mm Limited

The road goes back another 20 miles or so I think before it hits the Teklanika river but gets narrow pretty quickly and I didn’t think I’d be able to turn around by myself if I got stuck.

For those of you familiar with the “Into the Wild” story this is where Chris McCandless was dropped off to hike back into the wilderness. The magic bus is on the other side of the river a few miles further out into the wilderness.

Hey guys, I mentioned I'd post this up at some point, it just took me a while. Talking about one of my shots that I previously posted here from my trip to Hawaii last year. I've got some video that I mentioned and some had wanted to take a look at. Enjoy!

And everyone with those photos has plenty of crappy photos from years earlier. I know I do. Keep taking pictures!

In addition, for every awesome photo you see posted, that same photographer most likely has 15 from the same day that they would never show anyone.

Spent the start of 2018 driving from New York to California. And then 2nd half of summer driving from California to Alaska and then back down. Of course, the Tacoma handled it all with no issues, couldn't have asked for a better vehicle.

A Northern Light show at my stop for the night on the Dalton Highway, just a few miles into the Arctic Circle.

One of the best views I've ever had in my life, camping on a hill looking straight at Denali and its surrounding peaks.

I use to see them from the deck of a barge on the upper Mississippi river back in my towboatin days.

That sounds much warmer and much more enjoyable than watching them as I'm freezing in the back of my truck haha
