Drill a hole higher up on the bed. Use a firewall grommet daystar makes a nice one, or there are others that are similar

 

I would drill through the floor or wall of the bed. Seal around the cables with silicone caulking or use a weatherproof bulkhead fitting of some sort.

 

Hey man- just finished my install. There are already 3 holes in your bed to drain water. I just expanded them. I used one for the positive wire, one for my air for my locker, and then I just made another hole for my negative wire. You can seal them up with RTV.

The picture below is the middle drain hole that should already be in your bed. This is a small air hose going to my ARB locker. I'm gonna seal up around it with RTV. Prior to this I had covered them with Duct Tape. I also have a shell and a nice sleeping platform I don't want water or dirt getting in.

I use CableClams from Blue Sea Systems to water-tight my cable pass throughs.

They make several different sizes, so you can size them to your cables.

 

I took out the forward cubby and mounted a plate over it with holes for my wiring and mounted my ACR to that. Could do the same anywhere below the wheel well. Rivnuts work well in the fiberglass bed.

 

Any reason why you want to mount it in the bed vs under the hood? Under the hood will keep everything much more protected.

 

Sports and newer models don't have as much room. No space in the passenger side where the ORs do. And if you have retrofitted headlights like I do there's not enough room to put 2 in the stock location.

That definitely makes it hard to get 2 under the hood.

 

Campershell offers more weatherproofing than under hood.

 

And lower temperatures.

Seems to be about $24 USD with shipping at the current conversion rate. But Im not sure if their service "PayFast" is legit or not. Want to look into that a bit before I pull the trigger haha

 

Mine came from eBay. Is he no longer selling them on there?
