Good starter... if I was thinking that way, I would go with:
Switchback Taillight Full Upgrade ... STFU
    or
Switchback Taillight Full Upgrade - Factory Terminal Wiring ... STFU-FTW

I tested another method for modifying stage 2 hole. HOT KNIFE
PROS: less mess, tools readily available
CONS: not as accurate cut like ultrasonic knife or step drill bit.

The con isn't that bad really becasue all you are trying to do is enlarge the hole. It's a rough cut.. but doesn't matter because it will be hidden by the adapter and epoxy. I would almost suggest this method as you won't get any plastic shavings inside the light. But it's all up to you!

Heat up the blade until it's red hot
    [IMG]

    Start trimming the inside
    [IMG]

You will NOT be able to do the full trim in 1 pass. The blade cools down too fast. I was able to do it in 1/4 at a time.(reheat blade, continue)

Trimmed. Again..it looks a little brutal but it will all be hidden.

My VLED shipment arrives today, so I'm hoping to get ALL the stage 2's shipped today/tomorrow. Everything will be in the box except for the 4X 7443 red. If you really want, you can install the kit (just use the stock brake bulbs until the new ones arrive):D

    Thanks for sharing @mesojdm

Do you think a regular grill lighter (like what you light candles with) would suffice or do we need a stronger type of lighter?

Also, I recall in another post there being a small ridge near the breather cap that needs to be either cut or shaved down. I'm assuming this is still the case correct?

So u shipped all the harnesses? And shipping bulbs later? The adapter goes over the stock socket, over the OD, not the ID. Good to know. The cutting is just clearance for the bulb? No for the adapter eh?

Yes, it’s a very small ridge that you can knock down with a blade. Once you have the light out and in hand you will see
yes.. harnesses and switchback bulbs will be going out today.(worst case tomorrow)Everyone should have got tracking emailed. The adapter has a shoulder and fits INSIDE the hole you just enlarged. It’s pretty straight forward once you have it in hand. :)

    Stage 1 install tip —
Only thing that gave me trouble was getting the switchback to seat and twist into place, I believe due to the new supple o-ring. I ended up swapping over the stock o-ring, and was able to get the switchback seated and twisted into place.

Yeah mine shows a label was made but USPS hasn’t received for shipping. I think this has happened before with Meso stuff I ordered. His USPS location seems to not scan every package.
