Dealer installed heated seats

never thought of attaching to bottom of classes......great point......saves a lot of money too

 

I have seen the katskins in person and they are nice, just not 1500 dollar nice and more for heated seats. Clazzios to me don't look like a cover unless you look under the seat. I did a little more tucking and fine tuning for a tight true OEM appearance. I'm super picky and someone would be hard pressed to see they are just covers. Personally I think the thickness and feel if the Clazzios will hold up better.

 

I just did it so if the double sided tape would not be an issue pulling it off the cloth seats fearing any damage, I don't think there will be any. Clazzios are not that expensive and if I need to replace them after 5 years I will replace them or have a new looking org seats. It's a win win!

yea.....you guys have almost convinced me....i started off looking at the Clazzios and some how got to looking at the Katskinz, but I did not know about eh complete removal of the OEM......theres no turning back with Katskinz

I did mine and my son's truck. They can be installed in 3 hours top. I feel the katskinz conform more to your body as where the Clazzios seem like the seat is wider and you don't feel as cramped in the seat. For me anyway I prefer the openness feel of the seats now as compared to the way I felt sitting on the factory cloth seats. The seats just feel bigger and the seats not being super soft allow for entry and exit off the seats so easy.

I’m in Charlotte NC so I guess you California quote is not that far off. I actually paid 1195 with tax. I was going with Clazzio but I like the Katzkin fit better.

 

How in the hell do these look like seat covers. I mean really for 500 bucks you cannot tell. You won't see any of the factory cloth or anything else showing where the clazzios don't cover. They cover everything and after the tucking and pulling they look great. I have not had one person think they are covers.

 

yea as stated earlier, the Katskinz do appear to be a tighter fit....and gives the impression of tighter body fit as well

 

I sat it some on a Taco. They are nice but you feel confined to the seat. Im 6'0 250 and I like the feel of the larger seating area .Let's be honest we don't have full size truck but this does help you feeling less cramped.

 

thats the impression i getting too....i tend to like the so called extra wideness and less cramped feeling......the more i think about it, and the fact that you can tuck and pull on the install to make a better tighter fit, i am leaning towards Clazzios....i also agreed, i have seen installed clazzios and they do look pretty nice....now that I would be able to re-position the heating element, I think I am going this way........anybody close to Irvine who would like to help........steak dinner and a beer afterwards
