    Replaced them with 10.9 bolts.
    was a fun Sunday afternoon.
Getting the truck off the trailer was the most challenging part

Reason for this is, IIRC, they are hazmat. They contain an explosive charge in the locking assembly.

I am going to send mine in to be rebuilt. Of course, I'll have to have another vehicle to drive while it's out.

Every now and then my engagement gets super low to the floor. I am talking the clutch pedal assembly won't come up, maybe an inch or so from the floor but no more. The truck drives fine, just the clutch action gets very short. I nudge it with my toe and it's fine. Very odd.

Grafted onto an S-series, looks like?

It's a pretty popular thing- grafting old bodies onto the S-series chassis. Haven't seen the cab included though.

Durabak it. Durabak smooth, sprayed, offers a nice semigloss finish. Very "tuner" or something like that.

I'd like to know as well, I've taken mine off some sweet jumps and usually the suspension stays together.

Sorry, Replaced the ones that failed with 10.9. Don't know what they were before.

Nothing, haven't hit a trail in awhile. Just normal street driving. Although Seattle does have some gnarly pot holes.

Hmm, all the time while jumping. Although I had my battery and my exhaust try to escape before. and one of my tires failed to retain its motivation after some truck gymnastics...

But my suspension stays together at least

It’s your clutch pedal return spring. It’s a goofy coil spring. The plastic bushings on it wear out, and then the slot in the clutch pedal that it rides in wears. Pop the coil spring out and replace it with a brake pedal return spring. It’s a linear spring. Here is a thread about it https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/clutch-pedal-truffle-shuffle.499079/

I didnt like the aftermarket one. Found a used one on CL for cheaper.

You can use the fenders from any year..however the flare mounts are different and the corner light mounting. But thats kind of it. And color of course. Not really worth the hassle.

Isn't there a slight difference in the moulding/shape of the fender between the earlier 1st gens and the later ones? I might be mistaken but I thought the 01-04s had more of an indentation in them

yeah I'm sort of expecting the aftermarket one to be a little off, just based on reviews and photos I've seen. But as long as it's not way off and the lines are close I'll be happy with it...I couldn't find a used one OEM one in my area that wasn't beat to hell or under $300

Any idea what would cause a P0120 code to pop up randomly? I was sitting in a parking lot eating lunch and had the truck running, when I pulled out I noticed the CEL was on and checked it with my scan gauge. Truck seemed to be running normal as always. Got back to work and cleared the code and it didn't come back on yet. But now it seems when the truck is idling it sounds like it vibrating the whole cab, barley touch the gas and the sound goes away, can't feel it vibrating. :annoyed:

Thanks! I was reading a couple posts saying to say the throttle body and it fixed their issue, I might try that if it ever stops raining here (been raining nearly daily for about 2 weeks here, 5-7 inches were expected this week).

For some reason I was thinking you had to replace the entire throttle body because the sensor was built in or something. Certainly a relief to see its about $50

Glad I've got an 02 then lol. I think you're right about those years, I saw a few reviews on Amazon saying it was the wrong part and wouldn't fit their 03 or 04 tacoma.

I didn’t bother looking for anything special when I ordered a set for my 99.
They seems like they match fine, I did have to drill a hole in one though.
