Tacoma wheels

Can someone tell me if the back spacing and lug pattern is the same for a 2013 Tacoma to a
2002 Tacoma? Will 13 wheels fit on 02?

 

Will fit but I believe the backspacing is a little different.

They'll fit in terms of bolting up fine. The backspacing is different. Your 02-04 stock wheels have a 4.5" BS (backspace) and approximately 13mm offset. Those 2nd gen wheels have a 5.25" BS and approximately 32mm offset.

So what does this mean? Reference:



As you can see, those 2nd gen wheels will sit more inboard and closer to your UCA and everything else. Expect rubbing.

procomp steelies with 3.75"-4.25" backspacing and call it good it you are just wanting steelies.

 

I looked at them but I’m cheap and I’m trying to find some old factories. But that’s the best option if I can’t find some old ones.

 

Lol those are cheap, to me at least. I am used to spending $300-$400 a wheel for my other car

 

Where are you looking? I seem to see them pop up at the yards and on CL fairly often.

But $45 a wheel is pretty damn cheap for new wheels. Even used old steelies likely wouldn't be much cheaper.

 

You might also consider these... 4.625" BS so not a huge difference from stock 4.5". I have a set needing to be refinished then I'm going to try and pair them with 255/85's. Not sure if it's going to be a success, I know I'll need to hammer away a bit but hopefully won't have any severe frame rub at lock.

Thanks to the helpful link from 1997tacomav6 in another thread I found these alloy wheels and getting them shipped out from Idaho recycle yard for a spare set to put some more fuel-efficient Highway rubber on during the summer or switchAroo with the winter rubber. I think this poor truck had only 168k on it and I sure hope anybody inside survived this. Probably will get what I pay for but these wheels I priced new at $400 a piece at camelback recently is a good chunk

Now I probably got to look at getting some good wheel cleaner/polisher and do my originals while I am at it

 

im looking to get some 3rd gen wheels as a second set as well. missed an opportunity for a free set a month or so ago.

any way i finally got fed up with my old wheels being permanently stained with brake dust. tried various things including simple green (not much help) wheel polish ( works slowly with a LOT of effort) then finally oven cleaner ( darn near miraculous)

in just about 2 minutes the oven cleaner loosened up that brake dust so that i could brush it off with a tooth brush and water without much effort. i did each wheel twice.
not fully restored but much better. a chill restore would require sanding and repainting.
finally the hub cap covers where gross so i stripped those with orange stripper meant for furniture and repainted.

last one is a good factory compared to the repainted ones. pretty close.

use this method of you find some grody wheels for cheap.
