May you all have plenty of snow to bash through...that trail is so fun with a bit of it.

Yeah it was worrisome a few times when i got white washed. Kept thinking "fairly certain it was straight for another 30 meters into slight right"

That was actually after I came upon another 2nd gen that was stuck on the trail. Winched him forward until I could pass, then blasted the way through so he could follow.

It was slightly snowy that evening.

@Winkle99 I am looking at an area just about due east of what the maps says is the Rainbow Fall Rec Area that doesnt look familiar but looks like it might be a fun play area. Coordinates are 39.142669, -105.092537. What is that spot?

It is a trail off of FS 344 before Moab Hill that leads to FS348 Hidden Valley Rd, which is a benign Forest Service road. I haven't tried that cutoff yet. For reference here is a google map image highlighting the path we took relative to 39.142669, -105.092537, the big red google dot.

Oh shit we were close. I knew we had to have been but I was on my work computer and didn’t have our track from the weekend. Might be nothing but it might be a fun little playground spot. The road to it seems to pretty much stop once you get there.

    Maybe next time :notsure:

Won't be able to make Sunday, but if you're camping shoot me your gps coordinates. I may run up into the mountains for a bit tomorrow just to get out of the house and away from projects

Im heading to Nederland to meet a buddy that is going with me. Leaving my house in Littleton between 8 and 9 so hopefully we will be on the trail by noon at least. Starting at the top just because I know that side so we'll be set up somewhere up there... thats the plan anyway...
