Yep. 4.88s are in the plans. Hopefully order that sometime next month.
Really want to over gear to 5.29s for crawling but the engine will be screaming at almost 3100 rpm at 75mph.

5.29’s are super thin on the 8” diff and tend to be a lot weaker.

Got the PSA "pistol" done. I'm using that term loosely since length from the end of the brace to the muzzle is 27 inches so it falls under this week's definition of "firearm".

Maybe in a few years. Don't have the space to do that kind of work at my current house tho.

I thought it was length after removing any removable items. So your brace adds an inch or two...no? That's why people pin or weld a barrel tip on to ensure over 16 if they need to.

In the middle of a build myself. AR15 300 Blackout pistol.

Though, it's that foregrip approved? Looking at an angled because they are pistol approved.

The latest interpretation I've seen is a measurement from the end of the brace to the end of the barrel, and I'm at 27 1/8" (28 1/4" including the flash hider). The brace I have isn't adjustable without tools, and I secured the set screw with red loctite for good measure. OAL greater than 26" makes it a firearm, not a pistol (similar to the Mossberg Shockwave and Remington TAC-14. VFG is fine on a firearm, but a no-go on a pistol.

This is a Quote I read "An AR-15 pistol with an overall length of 26" or longer may have a vertical foregrip installed, as long as no buttstock is installed in conjunction with a shorter than 16" barrel. The Sig Sauer Pistol Braces (SBS and SBX) are commonly found on these AR-15 style pistols with vertical foregrips since they are not considered buttstocks. The ATF does not consider a weapon in this configuration to be an AOW, but instead classifies it as a 'Firearm' which does not require any tax stamp or additional registration."
