The knuckleheads at my dealership couldn't care less. Three visits so far with no problems.

This was the first 1.05. Haven't tried performance yet, but I would probably not leave that one on.....they would definitely know something was up I'm sure!

Would almost be worth it to install the insane mode in a couple rentals and turn it into a youtube channel.

This product is great and all the attention to development/updates is awesome but everytime I want to update I have to sift through these posts to figure out whats going on. I usually spend 2 hours trying to figure out whats new. What is going on with the old dongle set up? How do I update to the 1.05 version if I'm using the old black USB dongle and is there a way to update to this new simple dongle-less set up?

The 1st post or the OVTune website is a good place to start.

    The dongle is pretty easy.

Go to page 1 of this post. Download to your current flashing PC. Follow OVtune instructions

Really no need to sift through any pages. All updates and changes are all in The FM.

Is there a way to update to the dongle-less setup? I tried reading through this and did not see this addressed

For what reason? The flashing process for dongles and dongle-less is almost identical. Both require the exact same number of steps. The only significant difference is the name of the executable used for flashing, and the only tangible benefit with dongle-less is that it frees up a USB port on your laptop.

Are you personally using a dongle or dongle-less setup? I'm working through the steps and now it's sending me to a russian website to update PCM flash.

For a product that has probably sold thousands of units the interface and updates could be more streamlined. I know everybody has different expectations for this sort of thing but I like to spend 5 - 15 minutes on updates so that I can get back to my life. Every past update has taken over an hour and I have to come back here to read through all the ass kissing and dreaming that you guys post.

I use the old school dongle.

The new Flash Manager (FM) comes with the pcmflash software you'll need for the new dongle tune files. After you install the FM, open it up and select "download all" so that it grabs the pcmflash and logging executables for you. You can then launch pcmflash from within FM itself.

If you're at a Russian site trying to download something, you screwed up.

    All the things!
Dude, he didn't sell 1000 units over night. It's a slow build and a work in progress. I'm sure if 4000 people came to him and preordered it would be a different story. But in reality, these things evolve and develop.
