Just a prototype since I didn’t wanna touch current amber LED Board in the truck.. But I’m not happy with it. You can’t see the text. I plan on redoing it with more LEDs so the text also lights.

I wonder how hard it would be to make it change colors for what selection you're in...maybe green for 2wd...yellow for 4hi and red for 4low. Or whatever colors a person wanted....just thinking outloud.

You could add different color LEDs at each position if you wanted probably. On a stock knob it would probably work since the light wouldn’t bleed like it does with the eBay knobs. The stock knob only has the little triangle indicator and it would only light where it was set at.

You’d have to do the text all in the same color since nothing would separate it without adding some kind of separator.

My LEDs are positioned at “2wd” and “4low”. I’ll throw the stock knob on tomorrow if I can find it and see what it does.

Added strips of 3M 08840 sound deadening to all 4 door skins, and 3M TC3303 insulation to the back of all 4 door trim panels. It’s amazing how much of a difference it makes with just the doors finished. Now for the roof, floor and back wall! Also wow, the radio sounds quite a bit better with the doors properly sound proofed now.

It’s been raining here in San Diego and we finally have a break from it so I decided to take advantage tonight! Stopped in for a much needed wash and vacuum, also stopped for my weekly fill up.

Awesome! I was just thinking on my way to work this morning that I am getting a lot of road noise inside the cab and need to do something about it.

Yeah when you open up the doors there’s absolutely zero sound barriers in them, i don’t think it’s much better on the roof. it’s no wonder the cabins are so loud, I think they did better in the third gen cabins.

After adding the the pads to the inner door it closes with a nice clunk now

I haven’t ever figured all the sound deadening out. Mine is pretty quiet inside even with aggressive at tires. Stereo sounds good and pretty much no wind noise. Then again I’m older and don’t hear so well lol
