I’ll let this first one happen and see how it goes. Then we’ll all talk next weekend and see who would be down for another

I LOVED the roscoe out in Arizona I rented. I haven't actually ridden a stache though.

Based on the numbers, I'd expect them to be very similar. The Roscoe is likely a little more nimble though being the 27.5, whereas the Stache will roll easier once at speed.

I'll try to give you a shout next time I'm up that way and maybe we can swing through Chicopee for a few turns. My Stache is a size Medium, so it may be a touch small for you. But you're more than welcome to give it spin.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am serious now, I don’t offer my place up to just anyone. Well maybe some strangers I have never met on a forum, but in all seriousness.
This place is where I want to be when I leave this earth.
So y’all get outside every chance you get. Take opportunities that knock and take no prisoners!

In other news Georgians. If you didn't already know, Fox is coming to North GA. I'm very interested in how this develops, both from a consumer and professional standpoint.

Ironically I was going to ask if I could retire and die there. But thought that might be a little too forward, and morbid :notsure:

That is strange, but it would have been even stranger if I would have asked if you wanted to be buried up there with me. Silence. :anonymous:

That’s sweet! Maybe I should look for a new career up there. I would be more than happy to help with r&d.

Remember that one time when I told you the long term goal was to relocate the family back up in North Georgia? This news of Fox might have had a thing or two to do with my comment

They're supposed to be bringing their Distribution side of things to GA as well :D

If I remember right, mine is a 17.5 frame, so sizing should be close enough. For sure hit me up next time you go out.

That’s the same as my Stache. 17.5 is Treks medium frame.

Sweet. I couldn’t remember how the numbers lined up.

I'm trying to decide between a 17.5 and an 18.5 - one bike shop guy tried to push me on a 19.5 but felt way too big. The new Trek Measuring Device said I was between a 17.5 and an 18.5-- I think an 18.5 is my choice. ~5'9.5" to 5'10" with ~31.5 to 32" inseam

IMO 18.5 might be the move for you, just based on what you’ve said. I’m 5’6” with a ~30” inseam. My old bike was a 16.5 and I think it was a hair too small for me, so the 17.5 fits me great.

I’m no expert, so take my opinion as just that.

It’s tough to make a bike purchase based on the numbers theses days. Frames are longer, slacker, and have shorter chainstays than ever. One company’s 17.5 frame will ride/feel completely different than another company’s 17.5 frame.

If you can test ride. Do so. How you describe you’re style of riding is a consideration. Longer TT will lend to a bike that is more stable at speed, while a shorter more compact cockpit will be more nimble/flickable.

I personally like a smaller feeling bike simply because I like the more agile feel it gives me. I’m contemplating going to a SC Chameleon because it’s similar to my Stache but in a 27.5

That is if I don’t go back to a full suspension of some kind.

Just went down to ACC. My SSO Slimline hybrid just showed up. Looks like I will be cutting on a brand new bumper.

Insurance company just put a new one on after I was struck on i20.

Time to cut this puppy up

Will do. It will be equipped with BD Squadrons and a 30” S8 in Amber.

This thing is gonna look killer with those Amber lights and Calvary blue.
