Dam I wish people had an idea on how to do their job.
I'm really sick of having to work on 3 cars at the same time and all three are waiters.
No one out front has the mental capability to know figure how many techs can do special jobs
And to know the times it takes to do it and when they are available.
It's always " here is a spot just put the appointment here".
Funny all there were for the same asm and he were asking how much longer for the last one that came in... Which had the most work to be done besides the recall.
So I handed him 3 ro's and said which order you want.
    He said this one
    Nope waiting on computer.
    This one
    Nope using the computer
    Then this one
Nope letting the trans cool down to check fluid level.

So what do I tell the cust he asked.
    Tell them and be honest.
"I fucked up and they will be ready sometime around ....... When they are done"
    I can't tell them that..
Then do a slow burn cause I need to poop and go to lunch..

    Good to have, but tiny.
Meh, some people wait because they don't have a choice.

They complain because they have no concept of the work involved.

The service writers here have no issue telling me it is a bad idea to wait and I should go home.

    Here it's
Waiting for your engine overhaul OK
Not dropping it off for the day? Ok
Bring anyone in at anytime. Even when we are leaving to go home.

The end of the world starts in 4 hours here. Damn phone has been going off since 6 AM telling me the world is coming to an end. Blizzard warning, 50+ mph winds, and 8-12" new white shit. Then below zero.

Grocery store was a zoo. Got some protein though and will grill something.

Got that last night, and couple more inches of snow. Snow is a bit crunchy now.

Good afternoon. Busy few days, poop theme continues.

The local dirt track has a new operator. Went to the first race last night, they didn't have their shit together. First race was scheduled to start at 1900, didn't kick off till 2100. Got 5 classes, multiple qualifiers done in 2 hours and had to leave so I could get up early. Didn't see any B mains or A mains. I didn't check but they had to have gone on till 0100 at least. Still had a little fun though.

The combustion motor on the pellet stove started getting noisy. So yesterday I ordered a new one and the fan blades. It came today. Old one out, new one in.
My work for the weekend is done.
    Time for a nap

Well, when it rains it pours. Bought a refrigerator this morning. It'll be delivered Tuesday. This afternoon, the dryer broke. 6-8 year old Bosch front loader POS. It developed a clunk when it ran. That evidently was the stainless steel drum beating itself apart. There's a 1/2" wide x 5" long hole in the drum...

Well, they say bad things happen in 3's.

Waiting for our front loader to die so we can go back to top loader.

But on the flip side, you gained a badass fire barrel for camping with that stainless drum....just looking for that silver lining.
