1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Only one I could find at $1k or less with a Rockshox air fork. Swapping on the raceface pedals off my old bike now. Only issue is that its been raining nonstop all week and so the trails will be closed for an aditional week after things dry out.

You'll see got it all buttoned up but going to put another clear coat on. It looks nearly perfect except the gap between the fender and the hood is slightly bigger than the OEM gap, hardly noticeable but that's the only difference I can make out. I'll post pics in a bit after it dries

$0.50 says it was cross threaded and it got rounded out from it.

 

Or whoever is trying to unscrew it didnt clean out the allen hole with a pick beforehand.

Still editing pics but wow was it weird to get a Saguaro and a snow covered peak in one pic

 

All done for the most part...it ain't perfect but it'll do. Pretty happy with the how closely the paint matched but it definitley doesn't hold up as well as the OEM paint.

 

You did a nice job painting, might be new camera time though. Now you need to have a dude with a buffer shine up the clear and blend and it'll be perfect.

 

Yeah either its the camera, or its on the matte side. Looks good otherwise, nothing a harbor freight buffer and some compound wont fix.

 

I don't take quality photos unless I'm on the clock haha. Nah my phone camera has seen better days for sure

When you see it up close it's pretty obvious the paint was a DIY project and I think long term I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a used OEM fender in good condition that's the right color and trim. But for now this will be more than ok. The hood gap between the fender and hood is a bit bigger on this side now but that's the only real difference I can spot

 

Definitely just dull clear, but that's normal, it needs its first smoothing cut and it will be shiny like the rest

 

I use mine as a bolt lol I never trust those Allen key hole. But that's because I live in the rust belt

I don't think it could handle that without coming off...a hand buff/wax yeah but I wouldn't take any tools to it.

Just installing it I chipped it in a few places and it comes of pretty easy. I sanded it down and cleaned it good before painting but it's just the nature of a non automotive paint job I guess. I'll just have to touch it up frequently lol

 

I just don't trust it. It's my opinion is all
