Anyone feel shaking or stuttering when you press on the brake pedal? I have a 2019 trd pro with only 300 miles on it.

Warped rotors? Take it to dealer.

Would they really be warped this soon? It's been driving like that since the day I picked it up with 4 miles on it.

Defects are always possible. Go to dealer and ask to drive another truck to see if it does it too.

At 300 miles, if you’re not happy with ANYTHING then take it in and say so... easy, regardless of what the issue, a good dealership will take care of your concern. If they don’t, call corporate the same day!

Made the appointment at the dealership for this Thursday, definitely want to address the brake issue and I think the TRD exhaust might have a leak so want to get it looked at.

Tried to search and couldn't find anything related to what I'm experiencing. I could just be searching the wrong phrase. If you can link anything, that would be great.

A Few of us with 2019’s have mentioned this in threads . It gets pushed down to make room for repetitive memes and circle jerking. I have had my rotors and drums turned and it didn’t help . There is one guy who had an old tsb done to his to replace the axles and drums.

Waiting on window installers to finish up something today but will be taking mine back in as soon as I get a chance.

Lots of advice you will get will pertain to older vehicles with more miles , don’t take it seriously or personally , critical reading skills are scarce here .

Let me guess, is it when lightly braking coming from speeds of 50mph or more ? If so that’s the same complaint championed by other 19 owners as well (including me). Doesn’t vibrate like some threads mention but a studdering oscillation when lightly braking .

Yes exactly, also when slowing down at a red light it seems like the last few mph's the truck shakes due to the braking.

Mine doesn’t it do it below 15mph it’s more in the range of 55-15 during s slow down, if I put heavy pressure on the brake it goes away but then I stop 1000 feet before the stop line. Not many options to avoid it though and be a sane driver

Thanks!! That didn't come up when I searched, probably just poor word choice from my end

Yeah its starting to drive me crazy, i reviewed the linked thread and will address it to the dealer on Thursday. Hopefully this will get fixed. I still love the truck but this problem definitely shouldn't exist in a truck this expensive that should be built to take abuse.

Finally, a reasonable answer with true to forum analysis... I would add to the “critical reading skills are scarce here”, a statement regarding the lack of criticle thinking skills as well.

I just got my truck back. They found the rear drums out of round and replaced them. I have only driven home but I was able to do some of the braking that used to cause the issue and they seem smooth so far!

I asked and they told me that it was likely due to the selling dealership failing to move/drive it as it sat to be sold. They said it probably sat for a while with the eBrake on.

While I see that’s very plausible, it seems like that’d be a more isolated thing and wouldn’t fit the number of people reporting the issue.

I wouldn’t rule out a bad batch of drums, an issue with the assembly process or something else along those lines just given the number of similar complaints I’ve seen.

I don’t really care what caused it so long as they were able to diagnose it and fix it properly!

So unless we can all determine that our trucks sat at the dealer with the parking brake pulled for a long time, I wouldn’t call it case-closed just yet. But do have them check the rear drums if you’re having a similar issue. Perhaps Toyota will see a trend and investigate.

I see some swap rotors and there's even a TSB stating that there are lug nuts not torqued properly. Very frustrating. Some are saying just deal with it, it's fine. I'll schedule an appointment to take mine in.

They did a visual inspection of my issue and said there appears to be no damage to any components and the service guy couldn't replicate the problem. I waited a until today to call again and schedule a second service. Hopefully this time when I actually drive the truck and show them the shuddering they'll take it more seriously. I'm keeping every visit documented until I get to the bottom of this annoyance/problem

I’ve been dealing with this same shudder in the driveline during braking since day one , did the rear drums , had the rear axles replaced from the old TSB , still have it , trying to live with it till somebody finally figures out what is causing it . It seems there is at least one new post or thread about this almost every day , it’s just a matter of time before someone diagnoses it once and for all . I’m starting to lean more toward rear driveshaft at this point but it’s just a process of elimination

They replaced my driftshaft and I'm still having the problem at 20 mph (coasting or braking).
