Some crackheads or kids broke into my truck last night and stole:

    - My change holder
    - My ratty old gym backpack w/ my Krav Maga sparring gloves, jockstrap, cup, MMA gloves, and mouthpiece
    - Business cards

    They didn't take:

    - My CD's
    - $20 in cash
    - Brass knuckles
    - Sunglasses

    Fucking weirdos ...

Oh well. Next week, windows are getting tinted blacker than a coal miner's asshole and I'm picking up my new Kel-Tec P11 (well, new to me). So maybe I'll just start sleeping in truck and see what happens.

Business cards? Now that is weird.

Bummer. If you catch them you need to make them wear the jock strap (used course) like a paint mask for a week. I hate assholes that steel shit. I'd love to catch one just once.

Just a bunch of old crap
That's all that they took? You got off lucky. All 6 times I've been broken into, I've lost about $3k in stereo and electronics equipment.

That's why I have insurance and also why I don't leave anything of value in the truck. If it's bolted down, insurance just buys me a new one (and usually a better one).

    My thoughts also....

My truck was broken into a year ago over a holiday weekend. I thought the truck was locked. My husband and I were both in & out of it unpacking. This was in my driveway...in front of my house. Stole my ipod and an airsoft gun. THey left the GPS. Airsoft gun was dumped in the neighbors yard - I'm guessing they thought it was a real gun. Haahahahh...sucker!
Never did get the ipod back. Reported it stolen online and everywhere I could think of, including Apple.

    It sucks....

To the OP - about how much was stolen? Do you have a deductible and did you report it to the police & insurance?

They didn't break the window, and alarm didn't go off, so it must have been unlocked.

Which is f'ing weird b/c I am one of those OCD click the lock/alarm button 10x-type folks. "It ain't locked unless it's beeped 50x!!!".

So I think I sat on the keys when I went to gym w/ wife in her car - because it was locked before then. It's the only explanation.

Everything can be replaced and I hope they like used jock strap.

On another note, how did you get the color-keyed bumpers for your Taco? Mine is a black '04 and I want to remove all chrome and go solid black all over.

    - Billstein 5100's all around with OME 885 coil springs. - K&N Air Filter - HID Headlights & Fogs - Kenwood Stereo & Infinity Speakers - CB Radio, - Fog On Anytime mod - Anti Tailgate theft mod. More comming...
Worst part about the entire thing is that most of the stuff they stole is going to the trash. They don't want it and now you have to buy it again.

    Idiotic really.

I wouldn't worry too much about not locking the truck. Probably saved you from having to replace a broken window. As they say, been there done that!

I'm sorry to hear of this. :( Be glad they didn't do any expensive damage. It is strange that they didn't even grab the $20 since it was there.

Maybe you just have a stalker who wanted your gym clothes and ummmmmmmm nevermind......that's just gross.
