    for those of you with the box without the plastics behind the seat, how did you get it to latch? i had a box back there and my rear seats would latch so i just sold that set up.

    Have you priced out having a custom fit, correctly sized (I will REALLY emphasize that part...) box built at a reputable installer, with the price of a good 10" subwoofer installed? Because if you have this is an ignorant statement. This solution may be more expensive than what I described, at some places, yes... However it is what it is designed to be and it is priced as such. Often times with sub boxes you get what you pay for... this box is designed to fit perfectly and engineered specifically for these subs, not generic for any subs.

    I am a former MECP master certified installer and worked with JL Audio on projects in the past, so I am not speculating.

    That said, it is a bit expensive, yes, I would absolutely build my own box before using any prebuilt box. But I have looked at a few aftermarket solutions (so I don't need to break out the fiberglass stuff again, fiberglass work is hell...) and this is 1 of maybe 2 or 3 I would even consider.

    This is why I dont like JL audio. its a $300 sub in a $450 box.

    I wish MTX would make a thunderform for the tacoma, their offerings are around 400-500

    Very easy and im impressed with the amount of bass this puts out JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3. running 300 rms 600 max from my amp. (ive always owned 10" subs )
