It doesn't seem to do anything. I remember ECT from years ago and it did do something. Made the shift points much higher and all over more responsive, Currently I dont see any difference.

I notice a difference. Shifts down quicker with less throttle input and also holds gear longer when accelerating. I have it on all the time. What tune are you on?

    That’s still what ECT does

So i have a question now that i dont think has been asked or answered?

    Performance map
    Performance map+ gear lock

Are the performance maps the same on both of these tunes? If so does that mean the base performance map + ect will be even more agressive than the performance+gearlock map as far as shifts go?

    Haha, got me there...
I just meant in the scenario he was describing - flooring it to get a lower gear isn't going to work.

This is how I think they rack and stack:

Performance - ECT = Performance Gear Lock - ECT

Performance + ECT > Performance Gear Lock - ECT

Performance + ECT < Performance Gear Lock + ECT, assuming gear lock driver shifts at rev limit

Be cool. The tunes you want to download (perf / gl for 04A61) are not available yet. Mat has said he is working on these files and that they would be available this weekend.

Yeah, there’s lots of info flying. A thorough read of the first page ‘usually’ has the latest facts.

Dammit, that cheap RCA tablet/computer below has a USB 3.0 port and I didnt realize until I set the thing up. Why isnt USB 3.0 supported!?!?! It's not even blue, but it says in the description.

I guess I will just have to use my ancient laptop, just worried about it shitting the bed. Can I swap the tune to another computer if this thing dies on me?

You can use a usb2 hub and connect it to your usb3 port. Then it works.

My computer has 3.0 port. Works fine. All usb cables and ports are compatible with each other. Its just that the lowest cable/port determines the transfer speed. 2.0 cable, 3.0 port = 2.0 speed

I was concerned with this too. Tried it first with my surface pro that only has a single 3.0 USB port and everything worked fine.
