I’m pretty sure that’s the one I have! It’s pretty good... it has night vision that actually works good (drive at night with no lights on). You can see perfect. It has a one toggle button that controls a variety of settings to include 195 degree view, grid lines/no lines etc. pretty nice for $20. I mounted mine on my pro grill dead center.

If you also pull the instrument cluster bezel there's a huge amount of space above the cluster leading over to where you can drop down to the main wire grommet located above your left foot. I ran my front camera feed plus a few other wires through some split loom up there. The only tight spot is between the head unit and that space where the air ducts also pass by some metal supports.

What camera are you using up front in this video? Picture looks comparable to the rear. I saw you posted about changing to another so just curious which one this is.

Genius! I think it’s very handy and will be similar to what the 2020 Tacoma will have ( yea my ‘17 will have the 2020 tech! )

I was running this one recently...the video was just a camera that was provided when I got the kit from another member on the FS thread.

Looking at the install docs ahead of time while I wait on shipment. So the front camera powers directly off of the unit right? No need to do an add-a-fuse or anything?

    Hello,

What is the resolution on the third gen head units?

Confused which camera will work. 400 tvl vs 900 tvl. (STD vs hi res)

This is higher resolution than the others.

Both cameras work. I had the car rover before swapping mine out for the Natika one. Here's some shots from earlier this evening.

Is there much difference between them in image quality?

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered the Natika cam. FYI, it's 10% on Amazon right now for those interested.

I'd get one myself when I ran out of spots. Where was this a year ago? At least I only paid $10 each for undifferentiated camera switches.
