You make it sound like you're just going to zip on down to the store and pick some up. I like the confidence!
Two minutes for the stage 1's and around 10 for the stage 2's to sell out. The only thing zippy better be your clicking finger when they get back in stock. (My clicking finger too!)

Lol I have been stocking this thread and been practicing clicking on PayPal! So as soon as MESO posts a time for the next release I will do everything I can to buy a stage 2!

Just curious, does this use its own special blade, or is this a common x-acto type?

@mesojdm I have the stage 2 total tails on the way but can’t spend $400+ on a cutting tool. Will a hot knife be ok? Hate to damage anything. Thanks again Stew!

A hot knife will definitely do a great job.
I used the same method to do mines with no issues.

So, every product release from MESO sells out in 1 minute- why not make more initially? Products rightfully in demand because they are innovative and damn awesome.

I think I am on the email list for 5 items... I doubt I'm alone there. I also doubt I'll ever be able to purchase the items as I can't constantly refresh every thread and take off work to refresh a product page on release day... Just seems like he's missing out of lots and lots of sales.

If its a time issue or money issue, sales cures all. More sales = hire more help = more time and product = more happy and loyal customers. More sales = more money for the next larger product production run, and with the help you hired you have more time to create the next great idea for your loyal and happy customers.

Its a pretty good sign that you have people just waiting to give you their money when only ~13 of your 37 products on the web page are in stock. Just confused... and a lil frustrated.

Because to build product requires capital up front. And that capital comes from his pocket. For him to build as many as we want would be hundred of thousands of dollars in capital so I’m sure he would accept a check if you want to foot the bill.

He literally did this as a side hobby until a few weeks ago. You think it’s hard to get product now? You must not have been around when he started making the original ultimate turns and the first ultimate dome.

He’s one guy, who just got started and is making AMAZING products for us. He didn’t have to do that. If you’re not happy with wait times, go buy these items somewhere else. OH WAIT you can’t. So chill out and be patient. He’s working with new suppliers and manufacturers to get production ramped up and have some actual quantity available.

None of these things have ever been made before, so this is all literally from scratch, and from his own designs. It’s not some fortune 500 company with millions in cash to throw at production.

Processes will get streamlined, and eventually there will be enough to go around.

And as for hiring help, that is a HUGE cost right now. He tries to make these products at a fair and reasonable price for us so we can actually buy them. I’m sure if he tripled the price of all his products, he might could hire some help. And then no one would want the stuff.

Long story short, this is all new so if you don’t have anything positive to say, unfollow the thread and gtfo

Depending on how you view "saying something positive"... a potential customer just saying he'd love to give you money isn't the worst thing to say.

Has he ever tried pre-purchase options for his production runs? Just curious if that would help on all fronts... would let him know if 50 or 500 are already sold and potentially lower his costs.

Yes, he has and people started bitching because the wait time was about a week longer for certain variations of the coin holder/bucket.

Has anyone installed the Stage 1 into Depo Pro tails? I cannot get the reverse/signal to lock into place in the taillight housing. It fits into the hole perfectly, but doesn’t turn.

Edit: Swapped the gasket from the Depo adapter to the Meso adapter and with a bit more pushing, I got it to lock in. The Depo gasket is a bit softer than the one provided in the kit, so it gave me the extra clearance to be able to spin the adapter into the lock position.

Yeah he did pre-orders way back and it was a huge flop. people got very butt-hurt when they couldn't get on the list, and they would get even more butt-hurt if it took a while to ship. Which is literally how pre-orders work. If 5 people pre-order, you get it fast. if 5000 people pre-order, you get it slow. more product = more time.

Put a wrench on the hex flats and push while turning slowly. If that still doesn’t work you can swap the o ring from the depos over to the new stage 1 bulb

Just edited my post, I swapped the O ring from the Depo adapter as it’s a bit softer than the one provided in the kit and everything is all good now. Thanks for the ninja reply.

There are people who actually ordered and MESO shipped them out. 1 day into the release and people were complaining about not receiving their order yet. Granted, its on USPS and not Meso but they still complained.

That’s a bummer to hear. Hard to keep em all happy for sure- especially the constant complainers out there.

Really great products and the demand is certainly there for good reason. Scaling a small side biz certainly has its difficulties... ultimately I’m just glad he’s making what he is.

And I’ll keep hitting refresh :)

we'll get larger scale production soon enough. I want all this new stuff he's making so bad. Ive gotten lucky and snagged lots of his earlier products on within the first few runs. He's working on injection molding instead of 3D printing, custom LEDs, and I assume some automated/factory process for building the wiring harnesses for the items that need them. Gone will be the days of hand-sanding each individual piece of plastic. Patience is killing me but I know it will be worth it

And sorry about the earlier post. I wasn't aiming at you specifically. I keep seeing people giving him a hard time (in all of his threads) and it just built up and I had to get it out. I just want people to know some of the work going on behind the scenes and some of the things that keep him from being able to mass-produce stuff yet. No hard feelings towards anyone

    Right??!!
Dooood....seriously. Some thinks the US is 1 state.
Hell, I'm in Hawaii and my package is in Sacramento in limbo.
Do I scream at Stew for this ? Hell na.
I understand what Stew meant when I suggested he send out the kits when the backordered bulbs arrive but he said some would really blow their top. Which isn't his fault that VLEDS is out.
    That's why he's sending out 2 packages.
