For anyone wondering about the threads. OP was new to TW and made three identical threads like this.

The best part is that looks 100% legit. If I didn't make it myself I'd believe that's the original.

I want the warn epic hook. After using Adams I like that there’s enough room in there to hook to a tree saver with no need for a shackle.

As it is right now, if I want to hook to someone else to pull them, it goes flatlink -> shackle -> shackle -> their recovery point.

This would get rid of one of those shackles. Just one less link in the recovery to potentially fail.

Yep I know Dirt Head Dave, Ian, and Fred are big fans of them for that reason. I think there are some really good benefits to the factor 55 stuff too. But after AOAA I was sick of screw shackles. Maybe with a bunch of soft shackles it would be a lot less cumbersome.

I feel the same way. I just prefer to not deal with shackles if I can avoid them. I had to pull winch line a couple times for adam over various wheeling trips and I loved the convenience of it.

Yeah the shackle thing is the one turn off for me with them but I like the way they don't have to be hooked to a shackle when not in use :bananadead::anonymous:
