    They are but its 2 speed too so when not in a pull you switch the trans to high speed and wheel that thing right in.

    That's the exact reason @Subway4X4 got a 12k winch. Same physical size as the 10k but just different gearing (at least with the smittybilt). If I ever upgrade I'll do the same.
