Had a great present for me sitting in my mail box when I got home last night.
Now when my wife asks what I'm doing I can say I'm polishing my horn(s).

    THANKS Andres!!!! :woot:

supply and demand. I got mine yesterday and im very happy with it. With that being said, i live in a capitalist country and i encourage competition. If you have access to the same machines and can create a comparable product for cheaper, then have it. If not, then dont worry about how much he's charging if people are willing to pay. You should be praising the guy for making that much profit on each sale.

It is a free country, and Andres can charge whatever he likes for goods/services. The fact that he is making some money clearly doesn't bother those of us who have purchased a set of horns. I'd have paid more if necessary.

If something ever happens to mine I'd buy another in a heartbeat. If my fiancee and I end up getting a Rav4 for her, I'd buy one if Andres is inclined to make it.

If you honestly believe you can take the time to design the CAD file, get permission from Toyota Corporate, get the material, mill it, and ship it for less, all while charging a price that makes it worth your time to produce them...

Well, that's capitalism at work and you just may have quite a few happy customers. :)

What an idiot and how disrespectful. Where do you get off? Andres has been making these for several years, the quality is excellent and with how much time he spent designing, test fitting and producing the emblem is worth it.

You have access to the same machines: Good for you, want a pat on the back?

We don't have access to the machinery. Andres has to pay for the machine time, any shop would charge for that. The size of aluminum chunk he is using is easily $15 to $20.
    - So $25 in that since you are probably mistaken.

Don't go into someone else's thread and bitch about the cost. And the fact that Toyota is allowing him to produce these is a blessing so don't go screwing it up for the rest of us.

If you are a fabricator, go fabricate your own and keep it to yourself. I fabricate my own stuff too and every one has their price. Value is in the eye of the person buying the piece.

Are you an idiot? Really, you want to bitch to someone who is selling a product that people want at a price that everyone but you feel is fair. No one said you had to buy one, so why don't you pull up your boots and beat feet. Go cry in another thread about how lamo shit is; those in this thread don't want what you are selling.

    EXACTLY!

He should get credit for the idea, the kickass factor and that he takes time out of his busy ass schedule to do this. And that credit is the $$$ I paid him for my horns. Money well spent in my opinion.

I'm content with Andres, his work and his price. I do however think it takes lots of BALLS and LITTLE CLASS to come on a Persons Thread and belittle them. I for one think that makes bluetacoma4 a real ASS HOLE. If you could build something I would not recommend to anyone cause you just showed what type business man you are. You are Shameless and probably can not be Trusted.

Who has used a dremel successfully in polishing the aluminum, and what grade sanding wheels did you use? I have a dremel, but the felt polishing wheel (w/compound) just ain't making it.
