Finally tore into my AC compressor this weekend. Good news is the clutch and bearing assembly comes apart pretty easy. Bad news is that I don't think its the bearing going out now that I've got it taken apart. I think its something inside the compressor its self. Not real happy right now.

I had some extra insulation pads and sound deadening sheets here at the body shop, It's a bit pricey to buy but Amazon and ebay have all the products available.

    Sound Deadening Pads: https://www.amazon.com/3M-08840-Sound-Deadening-1-pad/dp/B005RNGRMU

    Acoustic Insulation: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3M-Thinsulate-Acoustic-Insulation-TC3303-24-sq-ft-/281901346706

If the supplies weren't available at my shop I would purchase them myself and do it again. The sound upgrade alone is worth it.

Did you use both of these items? Put the insulation in first?

I was going to respond with the usual "I hope you get lice" but I'm trying to start this week off on a positive note. :D
