What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

You ran the rear breather all the way to the engine bay?

 

I did. I had a whole spool of 3/8 hose and wanted to eventually get all the breather in one spot.


The breathers go to the little chrome filter behind my RTMR panel.

Huh, thats a first. My front diff is always fragrant, the rear isn't. I want to run the front away from the engine bay haha

 

Speaking of fragrant... Now that I cut the panel in the auto shifter base, and installed the Tcase shifter... I keep smelling the trans and Tcase breathers in the cab. I gotta figure out a way to re-run those things.

 

I've been running 650's and they've worked out really well for me.

 

I think that is the size I’m going to run too. Going with cooper st Maxxs tho

 

Seems like a good size, not quite the work of 35s but still taller than the average 285

 

They do decent all around?


Had stt pros before and they could slide a bit in the rain but every where else they did good

 

As far as I can recall yea, I don’t remember ever breaking loose or anything when I gun it a little to get up to highway speed for a stop

 

Heard one or two guys here in ga say they wear fast?

And they have a good roar?

 

I’m not gonna comment and wear, my alignments been kinda fuckery so that’s messed with it, but I’ll probably get 20kish out of them, probably a bit more, not bad for a 500$ mt

It's a bit pricy compared to the DIY ones everyone loves, but the ARB is a nice setup and probably cheaper than the PDP.

Perfect, not sure on the discount cooper line

 

This is the one I have, mounted on the firewall more towards the middle of the engine bay.
The rear line is the easiest to "install", just keep the tube away from heat (passenger side)

I have to figure out the front diff as I haven't yet found it.

 

4WP had a discount on the extremes last spring, + a rebate by DC made it a good deal.

Don’t know if they’ll do that again though

 

You can always count on 4WP and Discount Tire to do a tire sale at least twice a year. The rebate might have been a coincidence though

 

Hoping I don’t have to buy tires till atleast the end of fall, stupid hobby’s that make us drive a lot.
