While waiting I've been thinking of a cleaner way to cut. As Stew mentioned, a knife heated with butane should work since the piece isn't that thick.
Only thing is to keep the knife hot so, cut- heat- cut -heat. I tried on a spare junk plastic 3mm thick and isn't that bad. It's doable.
A step drill will leave shavings. My minor OCD will drive me nuts if anything's caught inside and can't get it out.

Anyone having issues with losing a turn signal? Works perfect with the truck off. With the truck on it won’t work (signal in the dash doesn’t even light up). Will work about 1/2 the time of the headlights are on.

Resistors installed? Try adding or removing the resistors to see if the blinkers work in all circumstances with or without them.

I know these trucks do odd things when the "right" level of resistance is not there.

Ok. Yeah resistors are in. Right side works as advertised. Just now I left my kids school. Left would blink maybe 3 times then cut out.

    Hazards work too.

UPDATE: no joke here. Back into the garage; grab my tools to remove the housing; decide to check one more time and it all works. Turn the truck on/off about 5 times and test every time with on/off and they are working again

I will put down full payment right now if I know I will receive the product in 3 months +/- a month.

    Great work Meso.

May have just been a loose plug.. :notsure:

I remember reading that some folks had issues based on switch position, I think the auto on/off function was making things "odd". Test your truck with each light position, including fogs and high beams, to verify each side and hazards function properly no matter lighting choice.

Good luck!! If there is still an issue I am sure @mesojdm and/or others here can help solve it with you.

EDIT: The issue is not likely the kit as much as your your lighting/bulbs in use changing the resistance vs the parameters truck being precise in resistance range.

Oh I'm sure the kit is perfect. I have Morimoto HIDs and LED turn signals.

Remove the resistor and test it again, should fix the issue. That’s why I made them removeable as everyone’s truck reacts differently to a change in load.

Unplugged the resistor from just the left and seems to be good to go. Test signal with DRL off/ON; headlight off/on; high beam off/on and hazards in all configs too. Weird how the right needs the resistor but the left doesn't. Thanks @mesojdm

Other variables add to the mix such as after market front turns signals, side mirror turn signals, etc. they are all on the same turn signal circuit load. And different manuf. LEDs pull different amperage, so it’s just a trial and error kinda thing with resistors unfortunately

If I add amber LED turn signal in the headlights housing with this stage 1 kit will everything work perfectly or am I gonna have hyperflashing?

Not sure because I don’t know what amber led signal you have. You should be ok, but what I recommend doing is just plugging the kit in (with resistor), start the truck and just check the turn signal. You will know if you will need it or not.

Gotcha. Yeh I have JDM Star 1260 amber front turn signals, your mirror turn signals, the morimoto HID kit, and now the stage 1. Seems to be working great w/ the left side resistor unplugged.

Awesome. Glad you got it working:) just monitor it for a while to confirm all is good. Making the truck happy with the right turn signal resistance is a balancing act, which is why I am thinking of having different resistor loads available to plug in.

I usually go to work around 4.am ever morning . I noticed this morning the brighter reverse lights really help a lot with the back up camera. Also noticed how bright they shine in my next door neighbors bedroom window lol

Received my stage 2 in the mail today! So fkn stoked. Now I gotta wait for my replacement tail light to get here so I can install these. I'm super impressed that you were able to squeeze all that stuff into that box. If it fits it ships.

    Maui, Hi
Same exact issue. Wasn’t working all day yesterday but driving home last night it decided to work 100% of the time with the headlights on. Come out this morning and doesn’t work again. Gonna remove the resistor and see if that’s the fix.
