Thanks for the thread OP. Plugs came out great. I attempted to paint the neoprene washers as well, but it all just cracked and looked bad. Instead I just continued my black/white theme.

Great thread, I'm going to pull my fenders off this weekend and if I like the look (hopefully my tires don't stick out too far) I'll be joining the club.

17x7.5” tundra wheels with 1.25 spidertrax spacers wrapped in 295/70r17 cooper MTP. Total backspace is like 3.6”

Here’s a better pic of the wheels

Looks good, I just ordered some oem steels, hopefully have them next week and swap my 255/85/16 DCFC to them with 1" Boras that I currently have.

Haha you’ll definitely be good with that set up! You’ll poke roughly almost inch less than me.

What a great idea how did the paint on the clips hold up? Just took the flares off my 03. Wonder how it would look on lunar mist. Would the washers still be black? Has anyone tried using bolts of any kind?

The paint held up fine, in fact @ETXTacoma is still running them on his rig.

My paint has held up great too. Only am missing paint on a few and that’s from rubbing them against trees. I wouldn’t recommend that.

Those look like they might work, and would be a good option for someone who doesn’t want to put a lot of work into it. Personally I feel the flat surface (like in the OP) looks the best. I get compliments and questions all the time on my fender plugs, and once I tell them what’s involved they say no thanks.

Decisions haha. Also, any tips on getting plugs out that are stuck? Without removing the fender liners? I have a couple blues that won't budge

Try rotating it 90° and see if it pops out. That works on one of the colors.
