@mesojdm would it be possible to have the metal portion go the full perimeter of the fob, without increasing the thickness? My concern would be that the bottle opener will rip out of the plastic portion. That's a lot of torque and not a lot of connection strength.

I'll know once I get some testing done, but I really don't think there will be an issue. 2 Threaded bolts clamping it down, plus it butts up against a ridge in the plastic for additional backing.
The 12 gauge (.1" thick) should hold up as well. You can see the other picture I posted of the titanium miniature opener has less leverage than this remote.

Here's a better pic of the insert.

Are they going to be painted, or molded in colored plastic?

Any chance of convincing you to do pre-orders? Even if I can't get one right away I always prefer knowing I have "a place in line" over having to spend a bunch of time camping a website, potentially multiple times.

Molded in colored plastic. That way if it scrapes, scratches, etc the same color will be visible. No pre-orders.. sorry (story of my life:oops:)

Dammit, MESO responded too quickly, was hoping to start a pool on what his answer would be on pre-orders.

One of the only things I don’t love about my truck is the big-ass key fob. I’m down.

So the design is now bottle opener only? Or will it come with a straight bar as well?

Well, while we're waiting for proto's to be finished, how about some cool renderings:)

    Regular Keyring or Road Soda

    It's # 5 on the list;)
I want to include BOTH in the package, and the customer can decide which one to run. But that's all going to come down to cost. Otherwise you will have the option at checkout: FLAT KEYRING, or BOTTLE OPENER.
