Alright you'll see my friend but like I said its nowhere near the condition of the one in the picture. I just put that one for reference of what it kind of looks like (style). Also what I want it to look like if I were to fix it up.

Just saying don't let them talk you into paying more if it needs a ton of work. Sounds like you have bought a few project cars/trucks before.
Make sure the important things work... like 4wd and look for frame rust.

No project cars. My first car is the one I have right now which is the 2008 Tacoma. But luckily my brother and dad know how to work on these older toyota trucks. Alright, will do. We did have a snow storm Saturday so thats why I wasnt able to see it good. But hopefully this weather gets better.

For 2,800 as long as it's not rusted to shit you have a good start. I bought mine for 2,700 and have been slowly chipping away at it. Only have an engine swap left and I'm done (for now ).

There is a lot of rust on that. How much of it is surface and how much has penetrated.
Interior needs a lot of attention.
    I would offer him 1500, maybe 1750

Drive it! Make sure all features work. It looks decent enough. I just question the rust and if everything works, headlights, turn signal, 4wd hi and low, tail lights etc...

The truck he is looking at is a few years older and in a very salty area when it snows.

The salt makes a HUGE difference in wear/tear
