I've driven a couple and they are well made man. Lexus 4Runner, you can't go wrong

 

most dodges ive messed with should of been shoot from the factory

 

I fixed a couple of the 'clunks' in the drive lines. Coil springs. It's the splines in the driveshaft. You have to separate it to actually get it greased and then if you stay on top of it just a few squirts at oil change.

Yeah it's probably a good deal, the Lexus parts are a bit spendier but the clunk should be cheap enough, if he's gonna lift it chances are he'll replace whichever 4link rod has the bad bushing anyway.

 

most of the major parts are interchangable with toyotas parts

we actually just had a mint one traded in last week. 67k on it and its an 06 i believe

It's a land cruiser Prado though, it doesn't directly coordinate to a Toyota that's sold in the states

 

drive train does. driveshafts not. its still a 4.7 with the 5 speed auto. just like my tundra.
suspension shit can get very expensive though

My moms 06 Highlander has been a true testament to Toyota reliabilty, 165k+ and nothing but routine maintenance. Owned it since new, only thing wrong is the drivers sun visor doesnt stay up anymore.

 

It's a manual, as long as the drivers alive and not Tyler it works fine

 

my 06 corolla is the true testament
1 water pump
2 alternators
both front calipers
thats all thats been replaced on that car in around 750k miles (aside from wear items)

 

The thing that fascinates me is all the suspension/steering components are still original with no noticeable clunking or sagging. Most other brands would be on their second or third set by 160k. I think even the plugs are original. Only big maintenance done was timing belt/wp at 90k. Oh and it came from the factory with a cracked radiator, but warranty got that.

 

oh shit. i forgot. i replaced the original struts at 670k. and honestly... it really didnt change the ride much. lol
