Sorry if my response came off negative :)
I was just saying I'm not worried about it. Just like your truck will adjust at altitude, this "mod" should be fine.
Aftermarket CAI's have been removing these for years with no issues. Any restriction can't be a good thing.

"If you've read this far, you're amazing... and probably OCD."

I'm not OCD, my mother had me tested...
I did test positive for being anal retentive though.

Good job on the process, and the selection of replacement fluids and filters. I have the same compulsion. Also. well documented, kind sir!
    Thank You

OK, please realize that I made this Spread Sheet for my own use. I have a 2018 Tacoma SR5 4X4 with the 2.7 liter 4 cylinder engine. This file is not complete and probably has some errors. Any corrections or additions, that you would suggest, would be welcome.
Now we can start talking about the difference between OCD and being Anal Retentive.

The nuts on the flanges are 65 ft/lbs. The carrier bearing is 27 ft/lbs. Some of the nuts are 14mm across the flats, maybe that is where you got the 14 from.

The pinion nut is underneath the flange bolted to the differential. Retorquing it is not routine maintenance. In fact it has a crush sleeve behind it which needs to be replaced if the nut is removed.

    Thanks,
I see where my confusion comes from, my fault, I wasn't being specific enough. I was referring to the nut (that looks like the axel nut) that holds the Cardan joint flange to the rear end of the front Prop shaft. [IMG]

It looks like that nut is 148 ft/lbs.

My 2017 TRD OR did this from day one. Made me nuts, and was the primary driver for me purchasing and installing an aftermarket tune.

I believe that Toyota issued Technical Service Bulletin will correct this condition, but I am afraid that I do not know the TSB number.

Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.
I figured it better to ask a simple enough question than start a new thread for this: I have two 2016 Tacomas, just bought my second one last week. I changed the oil on both of them yesterday. I don't know the history on the new one, DCSB Off Road, but the oil filter had the part number 15613-YZZA1 printed on it. The other '16, DCSB Sport, had an oil change at the dealership when the HVAC motor was replaced 6 months ago, and that filter also had 15613-YZZA1 printed on it.

When I look up the OEM filter on Amazon, etc, as well as what information is shown in this thread, the proper PN is 04152-YZZA1. If I type in "15613-YZZA1 Toyota oil filter," what pops up is the 04152 filter and not the PN I typed in the Amazon search box. Can anyone account for this difference? Is the 04152 an upgraded component, or an updated PN? What I have seemed to find is that the 04152 filter is taller than the 15613. At any rate, I put in Microguard filter elements, not new OEM filters.

Oily picture of my old filter with PN sorta visible on it. IMG_6880.jpg

Trying to find an answer to that makes my head hurt! I would assume that you are correct. 15613 is an old part number. I've replaced all my filters with the 04152

I just changed my rear differential fluid at 27,000 miles. Level was pretty close to where it should be ~4 quarts or so. Fluid looked like new (transparent/golden) with very little sludge on the magnetic bolt. Probably going to wait until 60,000 to do the front differential, transmission, and transfer case oils......

Interesting, wanting to change my 17 offroad rear dif at 20k (yes doesnt get used as much). Just kind of paranoid since some people been saying their was low, also want to get the little bit of shaving from new gears that may be in there. Think it's to early? Thinking 20k for rear and 50 for front/transfer. Tranny maybe at 30k. Early but like I said want to make sure levels are proper and to remove any shavings from NEW gears rubbing.

This is what I got from Amazon. Prefer the canister style over this...
