Ugh, in the meantime I'll just shit over terrible website UX decisions... Save infers that I changed something, not confirming.

I dont like the gusset in the middle of a square tube, but mine have it and it is what it is. Until I get a garage again, you have to take what you can get. But they do have the plate that runs the length of the sliders almost and I love that. Eliminates what @teamhypoxia was talking about at the top of a small plate.

my company has really high turnover and at our worst we had 1 UX person for about 200 software engineers...ugly UI ensued

 

I did notice the non-90-degree angle of that angle iron and whenever I see it on a a set of sliders I dismiss them as cost-cutting.

 

Computers are dumb. Can I just move to the woods now and survive off a tiny cabin, rice and beans?

 

not like it even matters, our average customer uses our website <1x a month and our mobile app <5x a month

 

And when you do create a good UI, this occurs from the marketing folks

 

Yup the mount is garbage. I got the file for my brackets from another member here and had them cut out of 3/16” steel and bent on a brake. I put gussets in the middle of the square tube but they’re cut out of 1/4”. Mounted up they seem pretty stout. If anything I might drill 1 more mounting hole in the bottom of the bracket and through the frame.

 

You talking about a tie in on the front of the bracket? I have seen other bolt ons with that and didn’t know if it was necessary. You have to weld a nut to a “wing” that goes up inside the cross member right?

 

Bought off Amazon, picked up the socket from HD.
