So i got pulled over today and the cop wrote me for tint too dark on the front windows, no mud flaps, and tail lights are smoked so you can't see the reflectors. Anyone in az that has a pair of stock tails i can borrow for my court appearance? Do you think if I stick some reflective tape to the back of the truck they'll let that slide? haha

Something like this happened in Maryland recently.

However there is more to the story than what is posted. Apparently he had some really aftermarket smoked taillights.

Apparently this is his car with the taillights.

So, fix your stuff and leave it unless you like getting tickets...

Well, sounds like a bad day.

This is why I leave stuff like that alone, and leave it stock.
Plenty of other areas to put on after market stuff and keep it legal.

ok i can understand the ticketing for the tail lights i almost got into a wreck with a guy who had really tinted tail lights. sun on the rear and i couldnt tell they were on. but the window tint is just a bs way to hassle people. go to the doctor and get a perscription for your eyes being sensitive to the sun. they will let you walk, on the window tint.

Actually there are perfectly logical reasons for tint laws. LEO's like to see inside vehicles when they are approaching them and super dark tiny hinders your ability to see out of your truck while driving at night.

when leo's are approaching your car the windows should be down if not that would seem like a direct threat to me. and in my state the back windows can be spray painted black. which again i would think any advantage that they could gain would be seen from the rear windows not the front that he got the ticket for. and i agree that there should be tint laws i think that some people take it to far... like 20% on the windshield and 1% on the side windows i have seen this you cant drive it at night. im not trying to get in an argument i can just see where this guy is coming from.

I had actually wanted to change the tint for the seeing at night reason. I always roll all my windows down as the backs are limo over the factory courtesy glass. I do and did everything I can to make them feel as safe as i can when they stop me. I like the windows darker so people aren't looking into my truck and following my wife home from work.

So how do explain the tail light thing? It might seem cool but really your asking to get rear ended.

    This exactly.

OP, you got your card pulled. Pay your fines, get it rectified, and put it all back on if you still want it. Illegal can be expensive sometimes.

They look good and are brighter than a lot of older cars without smoked lights. I make sure that they all are working too which is more than i can say for some a lot of other Arizona drivers.

I think u guys are missing the main point of the OP's post, which is whether or not someone has stock tails to lend him for the court appearance. I didnt think he was whining about the decision of the LEO, just the fact that he got the ticket.

Some of yall gotta chill out and realize that not everyone who posts about getting a ticket is bitching about it.
