I have an 04 DC with the 3.4 V6. It seems to have enough power, but when I use cc on anything but flat ground, it will upshift way too often.

Seems like a lack of torque at hwy speeds 65-75 mph. Anything I can do to help it?

When was the last time the spark plugs were changed? A/F sensor?

Never probably. I bought the truck last december with 65K miles. It has about 90K on it now.

I thought about doing the plugs myself. I saw some Bosch platinum 4 tip plugs at O'Reilly's and thought about getting a set of them. Need to change the fuel filter, do a tranny flush, and maybe a timing belt/water pump job.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Avoid the Bosch plugs and stick with the factory Denso or NGK plugs. The 3.4L is extremely finicky about plugs.

My 03 did that when I used the CC I would turn on the ECT button that help holding the speed.

Thanks, I'll stick with them. Did I read a how to post on swapping plugs that said they came with Denso on one bank and NGK on the other or am I dreaming that?

Thanks also for the ECT tip, I'll give that a try too.

Nope, you're not dreaming it. This is how they come from the factory, many theories on this and no reasons why from Toyota.
I have a theory on this but it involves BigFoot and the guy on the grassy knoll, but we'll just leave it at that.
