Looks like it was due. Did you notice any results? Also, some report increased idle speed after cleaning.

I can't really tell weather it was the fuel injector or the throttle cleaning. because I replaced a bad fuel injector and cleaned the throttle, but now it is smooth.

mocked together a mount for my manual proportioning valve, mounted off the left side bolts that hold the brake MC to the booster. It's just a beta, I need to radius the inside of the bracket to clear better, but it is in place and out of the way.

Doing this to facilitate a LSPV delete. My LSPV is leaking badly, has been since I've owned the vehicle (6 months now), and my plans for the build will defeat the LSPV anyway (I'm going air over leaf in the rear, and SAS so probably a 6" lift).

I am disconnecting the LSPV, connecting the inlet to the outlet (bypassing the LSPV), disconnecting rhe return line at the driver's side aft junction and capping the port off with a pipe plug. Remove LSPV and all brackets related, then under the hood I will disconnect the aft port on the MC and connect it to the OUT on the MPV, and then will fabricate a line from the aft MC port to the IN on the MPV. Bleed, test, and Robert should be my father's brother....

Protip if you guys are following along: Copper/Nickle brake line is FAR superior to steel- easier to form, just as strong (sometimes stronger), and won't corrode. You can literally form this stuff with your hand, accurately- much tighter bends than you can make with steel without a mandrel. It flares easier as well, and uses the same fittings.

When I cleaned mine I had increased idle for a few start ups but it went away after maybe the 4th or 5th start up.

    I have mods
Spent Friday thru Monday wheeling and camping with @Ace115 , @Phessor and @Sapnjack (we'll forgive him the 3rd gen, he's got a great setup and really did good out there!) through southern Arizona. Pretty sure we saw all 4 seasons during that time too. @Phessor unfortunately had a driver side wheel bearing failure Saturday afternoon and had to drop out. But I think we all had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again, hopefully in slightly warmer weather!

my fan pulley bracket came in today, so I've got a couple of up coming projects. Inner and outer tie rods, fan bracket pulley, and burned out dash lights. Ordered a set of brushes for my Alternator, that way I have them for a future fix. Just waiting on springtime, and back to back sunny days. :D

yeah my idle was at around 1800 RPMs immediately after cleaning my throttle body, and my TB was hardly even dirty. Over the course of the day it went down to around 1200 RPMs and by the end of the next day it was back to normal at around 700.

Last week, I put in new plugs in my 2.7L truck. Bought the NGKs recommended in the manual. PO had put a different range NGK. While the plugs still looked very good, it brought my idle up to almost double for several days. It settled to about 300 rpm above the original, which is fine since it was a little lower than I preferred with auto trans.

I picked up the Falken Wildpeaks after a friend got them on his truck and then my dad got them for his as well. They perform great on and off road. Just a bit heavy but :notsure:
