    We see a lot of torque wrench free mechanics. It's usually pretty expensive.

    Same thing happened to me while I was torquing a shackle nut, except it hit squarely on a tooth and broke it clean off. Got a root canal the next day. Lesson learned: never wrench above your face.

    Not sure that bolting sliders to a frame is exactly a high risk endeavor....

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
    Wouldn't worry too much about torque (other than too much) and would be more concerned not using blue (removable) thread locker or nylon locking nuts because of vibration (washboard roads?) this includes sliders and other bolt on stuff that will eventually get removed/reinstalled for maintenance.
    who wrenches and doesn't have a torque wrench?? Habor Freight special won't win you any points at NASA but for us, it's plenty accurate enough for exterior stuff.

    I was installing a add a leaf when it decided to blow apart in my face I'm pretty positive @diabetiktaco was there when it happened @Sub-Zero house Luckily I didn't loose any teeth when it happened
