@4x4yotaphan should release some threads? I'm also going to add a huge new bumper adding weight.

Aren't they basically the exact same shock? I thought I've read that there's an internal spacer which can be added/removed which makes them EXT or not..

I had similar threads on mine when I was around 2.25 inches. Kings def dont need that much thread and depending if you were the one that set them up, Im sure you had a fun time cranking them up. I would bet you could go down 5-6 threads atleast and it would feel much more plush.

Mine aren't on yet, and Wheeler's changed then to 650's and set it at 2.5 for me.

I would keep it the same now if you’re getting a bumper soon, that way you don’t have to get an alignment now and later. I still have 600lbs springs and they are handling fine with the bumper, just sagged about an inch. I’ll be adding a winch next week and then cranking it up a couple of threads to compensate. Sometimes I wished I would’ve gone 650 but to be honest it rides pretty plush right now and doesn’t bottom out from the weight. The only reason I would recommend 650 is because of the sagging issue but that’ll be corrected soon when I crank them up. I’ll let you know how it rides then.

The bumper should soften up the ride but you are going to lose about a 1/2 inch in lift.

I'm not sure on that, you may be correct. I was operating on the assumption that they were dampened differently because of intended use and my brief interchange with the King's rep a couple years back.

Kings aren't on yet, not the Relentless Fab Lower Stingray Winch Mount Bumper and Winch. Pile of mods on the garage for Spring.

Try running 30 psi and remove some preload from the kings. Go for 2" lift

@Lil_greenie exactly what he said, it softened up my ride when I added my bumper. Everyone will have their own opinions on what’s the best spring rate. I decided to hit up both King and Demello and both said the exact same thing, which is 600lbs is plenty for a steel bumper and other small add-ons. King rep actually said that you really don’t need to step up unless you plan on 200-250lb+. And it’ll ride nicer which I will say it does. I’ll only be adding a synthetic rope winch at another 47lbs so I figured I’d be ok for now.

Yes they can be tuned to your use (valved).
@MandosTaco is correct on extended vs nonextended is just removing internal shims
