Quick wiper blade review and recommendation:

    Trico Ice Extreme Weather Blade

Just ran them through a pretty harsh winter drive to Wolf Creek on Friday. I really like these blades.

I never subscribed to the expensive blades = better. In fact any of the more expensive blades have been awful in the winter here. So I try to find affordable blades that serve CO well in winter and intense UV summer. Since I go with cheaper blades I don’t mind changing them every 6 months.

These blades’ compound remained very pliable during very cold snowy/ice conditions. Therefore the blade remained intact with the windshield during the whole sweep and didn’t get that “rock hard blade” chatter. Very clean clearing. Even in the cold mornings the blades swept great.

    They get my highest rec.

Currently on sale at Walmart for $7 ea.

I've been having good luck with the BOSCH Icon blades. I park outside 100% of the time and they are over a year old and are still pliable, stick to the windshield and haven't died from the UV. It could help that the flat/wide "aerodynamic" piece blocks the sun from the rubber quite well.

How much time does your vehicle stay outside? Mine is outside 24/7 and I had some Icons which fell apart at about 6 months. During a snowstorm.

I use these also. Been on ~2.5 years now and finally time to replace. Only replacing due to streaking.

You guys going with welded or bolt on Wiper blades? :poking:

Have had my Icon's for almost 9 months and just once did they freeze up, Defroster took care of it after 10 mins.

I was thinking bolt on until I saw how they mount. I would snag the bolts on everything.

Bosch Icons are the blades that made me swear off expensive blades. I'm glad your experience is good with them. For me it was horrible. They turned to granite below 35*F and didn't have a clean sweep even in the most perfect conditions. Not to mention they only lasted a few months.

My truck is outside 24/7/365 now (unless I know a storm is coming and I'll be driving it- then I move it into the garage so I don't have to clear/scrape it in the morning).

The Icons were one of the worst blades I've ever experienced.

Well maybe if you gave me the TW/friends/family/just-met-you-last-year discount I could go out and buy the overpriced "marketing matters" wiper blades.

I bought some for my Yaris and at least for that windshield they don't have enough pressure to prevent streaks out of the box :(
