How would you go about checking it without filling?

This is exactly why I pre-ordered a handheld when Mat first had them available, even though I'm already a dongleless customer.

I don't think the performance and gear-lock tunes are available for 04B02 just yet. Mat should have them ready soon™.

    Very interesting.

What is the benefit of the Tundra throttle?

the check procedure is basically a drain and fill.

Hopefully this entire setup will create more airflow being drawn into the engine.
We are retaining stock intake box during testing and comparing Flow graphs. We want more flow everywhere, and are testing this setup out to see how it does.

Using a modified Sienna intake manifold without ACIS, larger Throttlebody, etc

(also this makes routing intercooler piping much easier...)

Gotcha, is there any danger in just adding a 1/2 quart and seeing what happens?

Ok so I decided to uninstall the cracked 12.xxxxx version of techstream I had for the cracked 13.30.018 version linked a few pages back. When starting techstream i now get a message stating not being able to connect to network with a try again or cancel button, i hit cancel and then everything loads up and seems to work correctly. Then I decided to try updating the ECU and after a while found this post:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-alpha-release.495735/page-1094#post-18467047

Grabbed the AT file, went out to the truck and when trying to open the file it said I must first register techstream. What did I miss? I remember the last version i used had a registration key you had to copy and paste from the readme file but this version did not.

Here is the Toyota process for checking/filling the auto transmission. I used the process on mine last year, it was ~3/4 qt low from the factory!

I wouldn’t just randomly add a half qt and hope for the best. Just do the procedure. It’s like 45 seconds more work to make sure it’s filled to spec.

Ok, maybe I am dumb, but help me out here. When I remove the overflow plug, fluid should drain out, which I capture. Then I need to put the plug back, measure out 3.3 quarts, and put 3.3 quarts back in?

    I though
t exhaust restriction at the head was the biggest restriction? You got some secret sauce already bolted up on the head to take advantage of the added intake or do you think there is still some added power on the top side without modding the exhaust? I remember you were messing with a prototype headpipe. I’m waiting for that to be released.

I have 35s and 4.88s and the 91 performance is still a little much for me on tip in. For normal driving I could get use to it but when I get stuck in an hour long traffic crawl it becomes annoying af. I’m back in 91 base till a middle of the 2 tip in is released which for me would be perfect. All in all though both 91 tunes are absolutely amazing with big tires and gears. Miles beyond what 1.04 was.

    no.

Automatic - you overfill the trans. bring it to temp. remove overflow plug. once its a trickle, put plug back in. done.

Manual transmission you just fill until it comes out of the fill hole. even easier.

You are getting caught where I did. You check for fluid leaking out after adding 1/2 quart, once it comes to a steady drip you need to plug it back hand tightened and then get the tranny to temp. After it is at temp (doing the correct P to S to P shifting procedure) you then crawl under and check if it is indeed dripping again. if not dripping out, you should slowly add fluid until it just begins to drip out. Plug everything up and you are good to go.
