What issue are you having? I struggled too because of Visual C++ 2005 not installing properly, you might have the same problem. I figured it out after a couple hours and was able to flash on the side of the road lol

During install, it was almost finished installing and I got a failure prompt. Now it won't let me try again.

Try saving the file in a spot easy to access, like the desktop

Two Tips that might help with some issues:

    - Temporarily disable anti-virus/security software - Windows Defender, Norton Internet Security, etc.

    - Make a folder and organize all files in there - install file, Flash Manager, all tune files, documentation, etc.

That's OK, the installation and Flash Manager put the files in their programmed location (C:\Users\Your User Name\Toyota Flash Manager) and run them from there by default, which should work fine.

I'm just fussy and also like to copy all files to their own folder with all my other data, so I have them organized and know where they are in the future.

I believe you can point Flash Manager to the tune files in either location, and flash from there.

I have a 2016 that was manufactured Oct-2015. My calibration ID is 04B04 which was not listed in the software for 2016 but it was for 2017 so I used the 2017 04B04 tune. Is that okay?

I also had trouble locating the files right after I downloaded them. "the download location" in the pull down menu should take you right there but if it doesn't, try toggling the button in the lower right corner from "encrypted" to "all" then check the "download" file in you computer's directory tree

I'm not sure how the AT ECUs were split?

I had the same problem finding the files. It said they were saved in the "users" folder so I looked there to no avail. I had to go into C:\users/yourname...to find them not the "users" file in the quick access menu ;)

I went to shut down my computer last night, and there it was, Toyota flash manager, right on my home screen. But when I click on it, I get a "application was unable to start correctly", prompt.

Edit- I did some research and got it sorted.

As long as you use the calibration ID that matches what’s on your truck you are all good.

It's hard reading all these comments.. i'm stuck driving a Ford Eco Sport while i'm working out of town... The driveability and throttle response is a hair worse than the stock Tacoma lol

@OVTune Will you be developing a method for performing realtime reprogramming? That is, for modifying the ECU firmware image in the ECU's battery-backed DRAM rather than the flash RAM.

Cobb offers this with their AccessPort to accomplish two things: 1) allow for on-the-fly (while driving) changes between maps and 2) allow for reflashing without using up the limited write-endurance of the ECU's flash RAM.

This is extremely, extremely difficult code to do with this ecu. Cobb has some of the best RE engineers out there.
Maybe if toyota uses the off the shelf SH725xx processor.. But they use a proprietary version of a discontinued brand of Renesas processor, that nobody in the world's has the documentation for except Renesas and toyota.

Thanks for the speedy reply! I can live with the lack of realtime flashing. :)

I'm enjoying the tune so far. Got my fingers crossed for a reduction in rev-hang in the future.

Later this week there will be a test version for MT available (04B13 ECU), that would be worthy for heavy trucks to test.
This is a file that is FOB + modified Acoustic valve control. Instead of the Intake Manifold valve kicking in at higher RPM, the tune will be modified to fully open the intake manifold at 1600 RPM low and 1800 RPM high.

    Totally optional.

If an 87 tune, I'd be up for that? Of course, I'm light-weight but loving FOB 87.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Good deal I have been trying to figure out a way to have it fully open all the time without throwing codes. Truck feels so choked until it opens it is not funny. I have seriously thought about buying another intake to gut the valve out of and blank off the openings.

Definitely helpful on trucks that need extra high load response at lower RPM. Instead of having the sudden surge after half way through the rpm band.

I am still working on the custom patch for single torque table request. Will be a while before that's ready.
