Is this TRD OR Package option possible?

I just bought a TRD OR DCSB MT with Premium and Tech. Searching the internet you will find errors in dealer postings. I saw a few that said manual tranny but the pictures showed automatic. I called the dealers. The pics were right, the ads wrong. Before I got serious on a vehicle I had the salesman go and take pics of the truck I chose so I could confirm it was what they said it was.

 

In fairness to the sales reps, they are required to know about all of the models and brands they sell as consumers we study just what we want and should be better informed than the rep. Just a thought

 

The service writer at my dealer insisted I added the leather to my 2018 dclb OR.
That led to a bit of an issue, since I was in on warranty work for a seat and they were trying to blame it on the "company" that covered my seats.

They have lost the service work, and the repeat business I intend on bringing in. ( 2019 rav 4 hybrid and another DCLB).

They truly have no clue what they are selling.

 

Typically a TRD OR, or Sport DC with Premium/Tech/Leather is going to have a MSRP north of $40K+ as a reference, when your searching dealers.

 

Weird, so the sales rep got back to me and said it does NOT have leather seats, but rather has Cloth, which is what the ad says it has.

So my question is, if the premium package is leather, dual a/c, heated seats and sun roof, then 1)Why does this one not have leather and 2) Does it actually have those other things that are listed.

Seems like the premium package is all or nothing when I try to build online. I don't see how you would get a brand new 2019 with some parts of the package but not all of it.

He said they could do custom leather interior for $1500. I'm trying to get him to double check and see if it actually has all the other stuff first, or if the listing on their site is just totally wrong.

 

My guess is the salesman made a mistake, if it has cloth seats they are not heated.

 

Thanks, that's what I'm thinking too. If it doesn't have leather, then it doesn't have heated seats, which means it also doesn't have sunroof or dual a/c, which means it doesn't have the premium package at all. It has only the tech package, and the ad has several errors in it. That's what I'm betting on.

Shame, it would have been a really nice starting price for that ride.

 

Right, I am guessing the sticker on a new OR Manual with P&T would be roughly 40K, mine stickered for $37.5k a couple years ago.

 

That's exactly what mine is at. Id at least go in and get a feel for the dealer. If they don't have anything in stock, see what they can do to find you one. They're out there.

 

Have him send you a picture of the window sticker or build sheet. That will answer the question.

(Although we know if it doesn't have leather it's not Premium.)

Most listings give the VIN. Plug it in at the website and stop guessing whether the ad is right or not!

 

For a 19 with leather seats, you’re looking at around 41 MSRP

I bought my 2018 TRD Offroad last February brand new, it was built a month earlier and I paid cash for it. I did everything online and then drove 4 hours one way to test drive and sign the papers. I was still there for about 5 hours.

 

Its worth it to wait to get exactly what you want, the heated seats and sunroof are pretty damn sweet in this truck!

Edit: LOL. the VIN listed in the ad doesn't work. This dealer's site is all jacked up. But it is helping me in looking at another dealer's listings! So thank you!

 

I purchased a '19 manual OR with tech & premium pkgs a month ago. Stickered at 39.7 but that included sill & floor pkg, tonneau cover + wheel & spare locks as well. OR's with tech & premium pkgs are everywhere.

You can never count on any of the dealers websites for accurate info, ever. It's rare to find one that updates their inventory with real time data.

 

Thanks. Does your premium offroad MT come with leather interior? Am I right that the premium package on a '19 TRDOR DCSB comes with leather interior, dual climate a/c, heated seats, and sunroof?

I've just been offered a white one with tech/premium, roof rack, black emblem overlays, all weather mats and sill for 34,6xx after 1k rebate. Thinking I might have to snap this one up instead of cement.

I am not sure of your location but here is a Cement OR with P&T in Pennsylvania. If you look on Cars.com and use Advanced Search you can filter the Manual Trans Tacoma's.

 

Heated Leather, yep. Dual climate, yep. Moonroof, yep. Sounds like you have landed a pretty damn good deal. Snatch it up.
