In drag racing though an auto is much more consistent in 60' times , mph and ET

That’s what us Auto drivers do, keep the manual users safe so they can focus on that third pedal.

We don't need to focus on it, because it becomes a third appendage. I mean fourth.

Whoa. Do you hunt with dogs?
It's amazing how a cat that size can really give a dog the business, and take on several at once too.

Agreed. But I drive a Tacoma, so. Drag racing probably isn’t going to be a thing. Though there are some gnarly tacomas out there...it’s just not realistic.

Never had one or knew anyone that had one, so I haven't had the chance to learn.

I can also tell a bad/beginner manual driver by him/her goosing the gas in 1st gear to get rollin'

Weird only 4 people said they can’t drive one. And one of those was a guy who hasn’t in 15 years so he just voted no. I’m sure the ratio here compared to real world Is completely different as a lot of Tacoma enthusiasts, bought the Tacoma because of the fact that it’s still produced in manual when just about every other trucks isn’t anymore. Maybe overtime this will level out a little more. We’ll see.

My work vehicle at my last job was a manual trans. Even though it was a Scion XB it was fun at times. However there were times when I wished t was auto. We don’t have terrible traffic around here but if we did, I wouldn’t want an auto at all. When I bought my truck a manual trans never really crossed my mind. Just not as enjoyable to me in a truck as it is in a car. We got a used one traded in at work. I had to do something to it so just drive it across the lots to my bay and back. Didn’t like the feel of the clutch, how it shifted and how the clutch pedal sat. Also it felt clunky as hell. Just wasn’t my cup of tee. Loved driving my buddies old 98 single cab MT. Only thing I didn’t like about those were the weird parking brake. I prefer a hand brake in the console not the dash or a foot brake.
